The 2021 Asian Music Festival will be held in Qingdao.

The "Asia Music Festival" was founded in 1991. It has been a permanent project since 1999 and is held regularly in Shanghai every November. The brand is affiliated to the Asian Music Festival Organizing Committee and supervised by the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation and Shanghai Media Group. The purpose of the Asian Music Festival is to cultivate and support new talents in the Asian music scene, prosper and develop the music and cultural market, promote the creation of original songs in China, and promote music and cultural exchanges between countries. Shanghai Asia Music Festival is committed to promoting the development of pop music in China and even Asia as a whole. Through singer competitions, work selections, academic discussions, anti-piracy concerts and a series of publicity activities in the square, it showcases the different pop music styles of Asian countries. Nearly 20 Asian countries, including China, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia, participated in various activities of the Asia Syllable Festival.
