This course pays attention to the cognition of image thinking and perceptual thinking, and forms geometric or free-form shapes through formal rules-points, lines and planes. Let students know how to express the three-dimensional space on the two-dimensional paper, showing the sense of dynamic, three-dimensional, transparent, wrong vision, illusion, unreasonable graphics, and how to use different materials, paper and pen to create accidental forms. In particular, we can apply what we have learned to graphic design, and improve students' ability to master the formal law of beauty, aesthetic ability and the ability to create abstract forms.

Through teaching, students can master the basic color theory, including color physics, color physiology and contrast and harmony theory of decorative color design. And through classroom practice, according to the strict and scientific principles of color composition training, systematically master this knowledge, and lay a good color foundation for future design.

The course reveals the basic laws and principles of three-dimensional modeling, constitutes morphemes, studies the direct or indirect relationship between man and shape, studies the laws of shape and skill, shape and material, shape and change, establishes multi-dimensional morphological understanding, multi-dimensional spatial understanding, multi-dimensional modeling and thinking, achieves the basic knowledge of creating three-dimensional aesthetic feeling and certain three-dimensional design creation ability, and improves students' modeling aesthetic, hands-on and spatial imagination ability.

2. A brief history and appreciation of Chinese and foreign art

is a compulsory course for art design majors. Through the teaching of this course, students can understand the history, laws and brilliant achievements of the occurrence and development of Chinese and foreign art, systematically master the basic knowledge and laws of the development history of Chinese and foreign art, cultivate noble aesthetic sentiment and appreciation ability, and help students broaden their horizons, enrich their professional knowledge, and improve their art design ability and artistic accomplishment.

3. Decorative painting

Through learning, students can understand the basic knowledge and concepts of "pattern" and "decoration", master the basic knowledge of composition, modeling and color of decorative art, master and use the methods of sketching deformation of flowers, animals and figures, and require students to learn the "decoration foundation" and start with sketching deformation to simplify and abstract concrete objects.

4. Decorative patterns

Through the study of the basic concepts of patterns and the basic theoretical knowledge and techniques such as formal rules, modeling, composition and color of decorative patterns, students' observation and perception of image beauty are cultivated and trained, and the national traditional customs and modern composition of decorative patterns can be skillfully and freely distinguished from different practical applications in graphic design by concrete-image-abstract design thinking methods.

5. Art appreciation

This course teaches students preliminary art knowledge by appreciating various works of art, so as to cultivate students' art appreciation ability, improve their aesthetic quality and interest, and cultivate good sentiment.

The art categories involved in this class are: architecture, painting, sculpture, arts and crafts, calligraphy, music, dance, drama, traditional opera, photography, movies and so on. Students are required to learn the basic artistic language features of various arts through the study of this course, get a preliminary understanding of the appreciation methods of works, learn to appreciate works, and be able to write appreciation essays.

6. History of Chinese and foreign music

Course Description: The history of Chinese and foreign music is an important theoretical basic course for music majors. Through learning, we can understand the development, origin and style creation of music in various historical stages. Social function is of great significance to students' music knowledge cultivation and music theory knowledge learning. By learning and understanding the music development, creation and the relationship and ability between music and society in various periods in Chinese and foreign history, we can understand the famous musicians and their works, as well as the important music development in various periods, thus creating conditions for other theoretical learning.

7. Music appreciation

This course mainly introduces the music knowledge that students should have when enjoying music, including simple music common sense and theoretical knowledge, and further grasps the knowledge of music appreciation by combining some beautiful classical music that has been enduring for hundreds of years. According to the order of the world music development history, it systematically introduces the famous European and American music works and famous musicians for hundreds of years, so that students can master some knowledge of music appreciation.
