The Sound of Music
The young nun Maria is very lively and likes singing. She often slips out of the monastery and sings in the beautiful nature.
One day, she wandered and sang in the wild again, but she forgot the time. By the time she remembered to go back and forth to the monastery to do her daily homework, it was too late.
As soon as Maria returned to the monastery, she quickly admitted her mistake to the dean, but the dean informed her that she had to leave the monastery. Because the dean has just discussed with several older mothers in the college, and thinks that lively Maria is not suitable to be a nun in a strict monastery, the college has arranged for Maria to be a governess in the home of a colonel named trapp.
Trapp is a retired naval officer of the Austrian Empire. His wife has been dead for many years, leaving seven children. When Maria came to trapp's villa, trapp greeted her stiffly and told her, "You are the twelfth governess, and the previous eleven governesses didn't stay long." He asked the teacher to be strict with the children and have strict discipline. "As for games, that's impossible."
The children were summoned to meet the new teacher. The oldest is 16-year-old girl Liselle, and the youngest is 5-year-old girl Graeter. Children don't like tutoring, but only play practical jokes on new teachers. Maria was tricked, too: a toad was put into her pocket by the children, which frightened her. While eating, she put another prickly pine ball on her chair, which made her cry with pain. Nevertheless, the kind Maria is different from the previous female teachers. She didn't tell trapp that her child had been teased. She felt that the child had lost his mother's love, strict father was not around, and his personality could not develop normally, so he could not be blamed.
Maria forgave the children and told them how she felt: "You must understand ... the anxiety when I first arrived, and how much I didn't want to be treated as an outsider. Your thoughtfulness makes me feel warm ... I am happy and happy as soon as I arrive. " Maria's sincere attitude won the trust of the children, who were moved to tears.
Trapp received a telegram from Ralph, a young postman, calling from Baroness Schneider, a widow. After watching it, trapp said to the children, I'm going to Vienna early tomorrow morning, and the baroness is waiting for me.
The housekeeper quietly told Maria that since his wife died, trapp had been cold and indifferent to the children, and children were not allowed to laugh and sing. I came to Vienna to marry a rich baroness. The new lady doesn't know how to treat her children.
Maria sincerely hopes the children will have a happy family and a loving new mother from now on. Maria likes these children very much. She educates them, plays with them and designs clothes for them. She and her children are getting closer and closer.
Liesel, the eldest daughter, has a close relationship with Ruff, the postman. One day, she and Ruff wandered into the middle of the night, climbed over the wall and went home, and Maria found them. Liselle was afraid that Maria would tell her father about it, and Maria's sincerity dispelled her fears. Maria just reminded Liselle to change her dirty clothes and sincerely invited her to sit by the bed and chat. Thunder rumbled late at night, and the children ran into Maria's room in fear. Maria told everyone not to be afraid, and told the children to think of beautiful things as much as possible, regardless of the thunder. The children's attention was diverted and even asked the female teacher what was beautiful. Maria sang a beautiful song softly:
White pony, crisp apple crisp,
Doorbell, bell, veal steak with noodles.
Wild geese fly on a moonlit night,
These are my favorite things.
Little girl in blue silk piping white dress.
Snowflakes are on my nose and eyelashes.
The white winter turned into spring.
These are my favorite things.
The children got excited and gathered around Maria, talking to each other and forgetting to thunder. Trapp was frightened by the songs and words and came to Maria's house. He warned the female teacher unhappily: the first rule in this family is discipline.
Trapp went to Vienna. Maria took the children to the suburbs to play.
Maria loves a good life. She doesn't follow trapp's boring and rigid rules. She taught the children to sing while playing. Under strict family rules, children can't sing at all. Maria started with the simplest and most basic doe, and Ray and I taught:
Doyle is a deer, a deer,
Ray is golden sunshine,
I am me, myself,
Fly away,
Sen is a needle in a needle,
Pull away in the back,
Cea, drink tea to cheer you up.
The children are learning to sing with great interest, and the carriage for the outing carries the happy children and scatters songs in the fields and valleys all the way.
A few days later, trapp came back with the baroness. Children don't like the new mother in the future. Because she is too serious to be gentle with them, they would rather be with Maria. However, trapp was not used to Maria's education, and he wanted Maria to return to the monastery. He called Maria to explain what he meant. Just then, the children's pure songs came out of the window:
The mountains are filled with the sound of music,
There are endless songs in the mountains.
The mountains filled my heart with the sound of music,
My heart will sing the songs I hear.
The song warmed trapp's long-cooled heart and awakened his long-forgotten memories of youth. He joined the children's singing unconsciously:
Whenever my heart feels lonely, I want to go to the mountains.
I will hear songs I have heard before,
My heart will be full of music.
I will sing again.
Maria and the children were surprised to find that the indifferent trapp could sing so well and with such enthusiasm. And trapp's feelings, also melted in the song, he found what a good girl Maria is. He left Maria.
Trapp and Maria are getting closer and closer. In the house that has been abandoned for many years, there are songs, laughter and even love. All this was noticed by the baroness. In order to maintain her mistress status, she personally talked to Maria and asked her to break off her love with trapp and let her return to the monastery.
Good Maria obeyed. She left the children, left trapp and went back to the monastery. At this moment, the clutches of German fascism extended to Austria.
When Maria was away, the happy family immediately fell silent. Children cannot live without Maria. They collectively went to the monastery and asked Maria to go back. Maria came back for the children. However, she said she didn't want to ruin the baroness's marriage: "I wish you happiness ... the child said you were getting married."
Trapp is deeply in love with Maria. He finally rejected the baroness and expressed his love to Maria. Maria agreed happily.
Maria and trapp got married. Just as they were immersed in their honeymoon, shadows followed. Hitler's occupation authorities forced trapp to join the fascist regime. Honest trapp didn't want to betray his integrity, but he knew that if he didn't surrender, the fascists wouldn't let him go. What should we do?
Maria and the children are preparing to take part in the music festival competition. Trapp decided to take this opportunity to escape.
At the concert, Maria, trapp and the children bid farewell to their motherland and relatives with affectionate songs.
The award ceremony of the music festival was going on, and trapp's family quietly escaped from the background and hid in the monastery. Ralph, who didn't want to take refuge in fascism, pursued him with Nazi soldiers. The children were afraid to go out and finally escaped the search.
Just as the family was preparing to move, the left-behind Luf found Luf threatening them with a pistol. Luckily, two mammy arrived and killed Rafe from behind.
Maria, trapp and the children finally crossed the border safely, singing and heading for a promising future.
