Are there any interesting places in Xiamen Island?
Wanshi Hancui is one of the 2 scenic spots in Xiamen. "Wanshi" refers to Wanshiyan, and "Cui" means green tropical and subtropical plants, that is, Wanshi Mountain Scenic Area. There are gardens and botanical gardens, numerous ancient scenes and eleven temples of different sizes in the area, which have a strong cultural connotation and are the most concentrated tourist attractions in Xiamen. There are many strange peaks and rocks on the mountain, with lush trees and many historical sites. Among the mangoku, there is an exquisite temple called Mangoku Lotus Temple. Climb the Wanshiyan and look around. There are stones everywhere, overlapping in size and vertical in roots. There is an inscription on the stone by the ancients, "Ten Thousand Miles Up to the Sky". There is a deep stream spring named "Xiaotaoyuan" under the rock, and the peak on the right side looks like an elephant trunk, which is called "Elephant Trunk Peak". There is also Bailu Cave nearby to visit.

Transportation: No.17 can reach

2) aoyuan Chunhui

aoyuan Chunhui is also one of the 2 scenic spots in Xiamen. "aoyuan" is the essence of Jimei Jiageng Park, and "Chunhui" generally refers to the patriotic spirit of Jiageng's investment in running a school. Originally an island on the southeast coast of Jimei, there was a small temple called Aotou Palace, also known as Qianli Palace, which was destroyed by the Japanese army during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. In 195, Mr Chen Jiageng built the aoyuan on the ruins.

Transportation: Walk past Jimei School Village, and aoyuan is next to Jimei Middle School.

3) Gulangyu

Gulangyu was originally called "Round Shazhou" and was also called "Yuanzhouzai", and was renamed "Gulangyu" in the Ming Dynasty. Because there is a reef in the southwest of the island, whenever the tide surges, the waves hit the reef and sound like drums. People call it "Gulangyu Stone", hence the name Gulangyu. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the national hero Zheng Chenggong stationed troops here, and there are still the old sites of Shuicaotai and Shizhaimen on Sunlight Rock. In 1842, after the Opium War, 13 countries, including Britain, the United States, France, Japan, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands, set up consulates on the island. At the same time, businessmen, missionaries and traffickers set foot on Gulangyu Island to build residences, churches, foreign firms, hospitals, schools, land speculation and labor trafficking, and set up "consular missions". Some overseas Chinese businessmen have also come to build houses and villas, and run telephone and running water services. In December 1942, Japan monopolized Gulangyu; After the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Gulangyu Island ended the history of colonial rule for more than 1 years. Gulangyu Island, with an area of only 1.91 square kilometers, is the largest satellite island in Xiamen with 2, permanent residents. The rocks on the island are majestic, tall and straight, and many valleys and steep cliffs have been formed because of being beaten by waves for many years. The beaches, reefs, cliffs and rock peaks set each other off. Gulangyu street is short, criss-crossing, clean and quiet, with fresh air. The trees on the island are green and flowery, especially the red tiles in the small building set off against the green trees, which is particularly beautiful. Gulangyu Island is lined with buildings, hidden in tropical and subtropical forests, with the peaks of sunlight rock protruding and flocks of gulls soaring ... forming a beautiful picture.

Gulangyu seems quiet and elegant at night. Especially after the construction of the night scene project, Sunguang Rock, which represents the natural scene, Bagua Building, which represents the exotic architectural style, the waiting hall for the piano modeling of Music Island, and the statue of Zheng Chenggong standing on Fuding Rock, etc., are transparent and bright under various lights. In particular, there are several laser rays across the sea and sky of the heron, changing and swaying, dazzling.

Looking across the river at Gulangyu Island at night, it looks like a big flowerpot with dazzling flowers, which is in harmony with the neon lights on Zhongshan Road in Xiamen, the spotlights of high-rise buildings and many colorful spotlights, making the three-dimensional space on the island, the sea and the sky brilliant and charming.

Transportation: Gulangyu Island is located in the southwest of Xiamen Island, separated from Xiamen Island by a 6-meter-wide Lujiang River, which can be reached by ferry in 5 minutes.

1) Liuzhuang Garden

was built in 1913, located in the south of Gulangyu Island, facing the sea and leaning against Sunlight Rock. It was originally a private villa of Lin Erjia, a famous local gentleman. The owner named the garden after the homonym of his word "Uncle Zang" and dedicated it as a park in 1955. The Longzhuang Garden is cleverly laid out by using natural terrain. The whole garden is divided into two parts: Tibetan Sea Garden and Bushan Garden. The scenery is scattered and orderly. The garden is on the sea and the sea is in the garden, which not only has the exquisite elegance of the courtyard in the south of the Yangtze River, but also has the majestic and spectacular seagulls flying. The dynamic and static contrast complements each other. There are also forty-four bridges and twelve caves in the park.

When you come to Longzhuang Garden, you must visit the Gulangyu Piano Museum, which is regarded as the only one in China and the first-class in the world. This library is provided with 3 ancient pianos by Mr. Hu Youyi, a piano collector who lives in Australia from Gulangyu Island, to show the history of piano development in the world, so as to spread the knowledge of piano music, promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and highlight the image of Gulangyu Island as an island of music and a hometown of pianos. The ancient pianos produced in Germany and Austria in the 19th century are exhibited in it, all of which are Mr. Hu's private collections and are free for visitors to visit.

Transportation: Take the ferry to Gulangyu Guanhaiyuan Pier and walk for a few minutes.

3) Xiamen Museum: 1 articles

If you stand in any high place in Xiamen city. At first glance, we can see that Gulangyu Island has two prominent signs: Sunguangyan, which stands at the first peak of Lujiang River, and Bagua Building in Xiongshi Xiagu Strait. The original owner of Bagua Building, Lin Heshou, is the cousin of Lin Erjia, the original owner of Xinzhuang Garden. It was built in 197 and is now a Xiamen museum. Because the round red top floor of the building is unique and has the shape of gossip, it is called gossip building.

4) Sunlight Rock: 6 yuan-it's free to go in before 6: a.m.

5) Haoyue Garden: 15 yuan

There is only one stone statue of Zheng Chenggong, so I think it's enough to look at it from a distance.

6) Walk along Fujian Road (south of Gulangyu Island). There are many beautiful old houses. If you are interested, you can stroll around for a long time. There are also some in the area of Annan Road.

If tourists want to go shopping, they can go to Longtou Road in Gulangyu Island, where local specialties can be bought in small shops everywhere. Such as: handicraft shops, calligraphy and painting shops, bead embroidery, lacquer line carving, color binding, color plastic, color porcelain and so on.

Within Xiamen Island:

1. First, we recommend Nanputuo, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, Hulishan Fort and Huandao Road.

this line is connected together, and it has already mentioned how to get there. The reason for recommendation is: Xiamen University is really beautiful, especially in the smog after rain and sunset, which are the most beautiful times of Xiamen University. I happened to meet them all. After the rain, the Lotus Lake and the top of Lingyun Dormitory in the distance are shrouded in rain and fog. The phoenix trees in the sunset are blooming with large pieces of flowers, and everything is golden. Listening to the music on the radio, I think of my school days and have to admit that this is the most beautiful campus in southern China. There is also a reservoir on the mountain of Xiamen University, and the scenery is also very good. Moreover, standing in the position of the reservoir, you can actually see the distant sea and sunset. Baicheng Beach has brought countless romantic memories to generations of Xiamen University people. It's really love in Xiamen University! While riding a bike around the island, you can enjoy the sunshine and sea breeze, and you can also pick strawberries yourself in the season when there are strawberries.

2. Jinbang Park:

You can find a weekend morning to climb Jinbang Mountain, and then find a teahouse to sit down and see how local people drink tea and chat on weekends. This is a very local weekend gathering place for locals.

3. Zhongshan Park:

There is nothing interesting in Zhongshan Park, but there is usually a square concert on Sunday afternoon, and the performance level is very high. Friends you like might as well go and have a look.

4. Bars of various colors:

Mainly gathered near Kyle Polo Hotel, Betel nut and Lotus. The bars in these places are generally performance bars, and white-collar workers and people who are usually nervous at work will go after work. It's noisy Lotus is worth recommending HERE. It belongs to a sailing outdoor club in Xiamen. The atmosphere is good, and donkey friends who like outdoor and sailing can also participate in their activities.

we recommend several ones near Xiamen University. Basically, it's on Nanhua Road. Lu Coffee is a small coffee shop, but it's very warm. The bar on the first floor of Xiamen International Youth Hostel is also good, very quiet, with a large number of works of art, and it would be better if they met their monthly PARTY, and the atmosphere is great. Brown sugar coffee, Yashe, Comic Bar and No.13 Bar are all good places, and the prices are not expensive. They are all relatively quiet places. The bars and cafes in this area are more humanistic, which may be the reason why they are close to Xiamen University. They also have their own characteristics, some with travel as the theme, some with humanities and arts, which are worth tasting.

4) Xiamen University

Xiamen University was founded in 1921 by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader and praised by Comrade Mao Zedong as "the flag of overseas Chinese and the glory of the nation". It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the modern history of education in China. Built in 1924, it is surrounded by mountains and seas, with Nanputuo Temple on one side and Huli Mountain Fort on the other. The campus is very beautiful, with attractions such as Furong Lake and Lover Valley Reservoir, and the atmosphere is quiet and romantic, so it is said that "love is in Xiamen University". Most of the old buildings in Xiamen University were built by Mr. Chen Jiageng's son-in-law, with clear water walls and glazed roofs, which are very distinctive. They are called "wearing a suit and a hat" (a metaphor for the combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles), especially the Jiannan Auditorium and the winding field, which are quite magnificent. The study and life scenes of students and monks constitute a unique world view of Xiamen University campus and its surrounding areas, which can't be seen elsewhere.
