Hongqiao Town, under the jurisdiction of Minhang District, Shanghai, is located in the northeast of Minhang District, adjacent to Hongqiao Airport, bordering Xuhui District to the east, Caobao Road to the south and Meilong Town, and Qibao Town to the west. It is adjacent to Hongqiao Road in the north and Changning District. The administrative area of ??the town is 11.08 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Hongqiao Town was 78,456.

Hongqiao Town is located in the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta. The terrain is high in the west and low in the east. In September 1992, it was placed under the new Minhang District along with Shanghai County.
