This was sent by Zhang Taiyan, a democratic revolutionary in the early Republic of China. It says, "A man's wife is for eating, and my wife is for taking medicine. Both Lakers are very good, and Anhui people are the most uncomfortable. Women in Guangdong can't speak, such as foreigners, which is the most unacceptable. " Not only that, there are additional conditions: "First, there are limited women in Hubei; Second, the family is good; Third, the arts and sciences are fluent; Fourth, don't get infected with the bad habits of equality and freedom in school; Fifth, there is the virtue of being a husband. " These requirements crucify women at home and can only teach children, no different from their hometown. Picking women around China like Zhang Taiyan, in modern times, will definitely be reviled by ten thousand people.
When Zhang Taiyan was born, he didn't want to pay attention to the equality between men and women in modern society. Tongzhi seven years (1869) was born in a landlord family. At this time, although the western powers opened the door to China and saw some exotic customs, they all resisted and accepted less. Zhang Taiyan may have changed his political thoughts and advocated democratic politics, but in terms of marriage, he is actually a particularly traditional person. That's why the above marriage story appeared.
But in fact, Zhang Taiyan's last wife did not meet his own requirements at all. Because of too many demands, no one paid any attention to him at all. It was not until 19 13 that Zhang Taiyan married Tang Guoli, a talented woman in Zhejiang, under the introduction of Cai Yuanpei. Although Tang Guoli has a good family and is proficient in poetry etiquette, she is a real woman of the new era, and she is particularly masculine. As the first woman in modern times, she can't be obedient and virtuous to her husband at all.
But there is a saying, all the rules and regulations are clear before you meet someone who will join you for life, but once you find that person, even if he doesn't even deserve one condition, all the rules and regulations will cease to exist. Tang Guoli is such a person in Zhang Taiyan. After marriage, the two admired each other. Zhang Taiyan made the previous rules and regulations for Tang Guoli, and Tang Guoli washed his hands and made bride soup for Zhang Taiyan. When Zhang Taiyan was detained for opposing Yuan Shikai's claim to be emperor, Tang Guoli supported the Zhang family. In order to comfort her husband in prison, Tang Guoli often wrote poems and lyrics and sent them to Zhang Taiyan.
Later, the couple lived a relatively stable life until Zhang Taiyan died in 1936. However, Tang Guoli still insisted on Zhang Taiyan's idea and opened Zhang Taiyan's College of Literature in Shanghai. Following the legacy of Zhang Taiyan's workshop on Chinese studies, he personally sorted out Zhang Taiyan's manuscripts and published The Complete Works of Zhang Taiyan, 1980, July 27th.
