1999, Chen happened to hear the master explain the tape of Infinite Life Sutra in a friend's car, and became attached to the master from then on.
On February 23, 2007, Chen held a tonsure ceremony at Baiguo Xinglong Temple in Fenjin Village, Kuancheng District, Changchun City, and became a monk. On May 3rd of the same year, Chen died of breast cancer at the age of 4 1 year.
