201165438+1On October 28th, the T80 1 through train from Guangzhou East to Hong Kong Kowloon officially opened free WiFi service. This is the first passenger train in China that officially provides Internet access service.

There are four main systems for train WiFi, namely, on-board hardware platform, on-board software platform, multi-operator 4G base station along Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong and guangzhou east railway station management platform.

Train WiFi already has several basic functions. First, through the distributed heterogeneous multi-network integrated vehicle-ground communication technology, tens of megabytes of vehicle-ground communication bandwidth is obtained in actual operation, which exceeds the 4G bandwidth of a single telecom operator, so that passengers can surf the Internet, chat on WeChat and brush Weibo; Secondly, the local area network (LAN) on the train is built by using the workshop connection technology between trains, forming a virtual community of nearly a thousand people on the train, where passengers can make friends and play games. Third, relying on the distributed mobile content distribution technology on the train, passengers can download applications and watch high-definition movies.
