1. Equality and respect
What good friends feel is equality and respect. When a friendship develops well, friends become close. They will share each other's experiences, listen to each other's voices, and be honest with each other. Even if they find that the other person is smarter than themselves, they will not feel inferior. Because they do not share their opinions with a sense of superiority, no one distinguishes friends as noble or inferior. True friends walk side by side and hand in hand.
2. Keep in touch
Don’t lose touch with good friends due to the passage of time. In addition to long conversations, you should also greet each other with text messages, postcards, and emails from time to time. When they are trying to understand our lives, you should try your best to find opportunities to share the joy and touch of life with them. Yes, some friends have lost contact for many years, but we can still continue our unfinished friendship with them.
3. Don’t compare
Don’t worry among friends about why they called you last or invited you last, and don’t compare who gave you the most expensive birthday gift. But look at everything from a long-term perspective, and they are likely to use some unexpected ways to maintain the balance of their friendship. Friendship is not about making everything in life equal.
4. Loyalty
Friendship requires loyalty. Friends should not talk about each other's shortcomings in front of others, nor should they spread rumors and scandals, which would hurt friends. So we should help each other instead of worrying about our friends backstabbing us. Even good friends know each other's weaknesses and shortcomings so easily and accept them. Because they care for each other, they will also be loyal to each other.
5. Remember their birthdays
Little things are important too. A good friend should be considerate. Remember important things that happened in your friend's life and express your condolences in some way. They celebrate seemingly ordinary holidays with their friends, and they often do small things to show friendship.
6. Resolve conflicts
Conflict is inevitable in interpersonal communication. Friends should not let small problems expand into big conflicts. They should give each other full trust and carefully maintain friendship even when they disagree. This means that even if a conflict occurs in the future, it should be resolved promptly rather than left alone.
