Couple user survey and demand analysis

During the Spring Festival, I visited relatives and friends all kinds of times. As a post-90s generation, I began to be forced to get married! I chatted with various people during the holidays, and by the way, I did a survey and demand analysis on couple users, and tried to summarize user needs from user interviews.

Focused on investigating the current situation of communication between couples and the interaction between couples. We also did some research on existing couple apps.

The survey method adopts interviews and telephone calls

During the survey process, try to avoid adding leading questions and leading sentences, and avoid directly asking questions to understand the needs of the survey respondents.

1. Sample selectivity bias. Although I tried my best to select survey subjects with different statistical characteristics for the survey, there is huge variability because the survey subjects are all from my personal circle of friends. For example, the post-90s age group is around 20-25. Among the survey respondents, two are graduate students. Therefore, the results of this survey are relatively one-sided and cannot reflect the overall characteristics.

2. Unreasonable investigation methods: Due to reality, during the investigation process, two used interviews and three used telephone surveys. Inconsistency in survey methods may lead to biased results.

3. The sample is too small, and the thinking styles of men and women are inconsistent. Among the survey respondents, there were two women and three men. In a romantic relationship, men and women have different ways of thinking, so the gender ratio is also an important factor affecting the conclusion.

4. The question design is unreasonable and the survey idea is unclear: This is the first time I did this kind of survey, so I investigated the existing communication methods of couples and the usage of existing couple apps on the market. But it still feels very incomplete. Especially when analyzing the behavior of couple users, we should not be limited to existing couple apps, but should focus on the behavior of couple users themselves. The questions should be more detailed. For example, a survey should be included on the status of couples when they are quarreling and when they are not quarreling; the content of couples' daily communication, etc.

1. Couple social networking may be a false demand

In the survey, three couples had used couple social applications, but later abandoned them. Although the specific reasons are different, in the final analysis they are all due to weak demand. Couples communicate through text, voice, and video, which can all be solved on existing social platforms.

WeChat and QQ can already solve communication problems. But do couples really need a dedicated platform to chat? Is the privacy brought by couple social apps enough to allow two people to migrate from WeChat to another platform at the same time? You know, if you upload photos here, they can only be called backup photos. If you don’t have friends to see them, how can you show your affection?

2. Communication between couples is monopolized by social giants WeChat and QQ

If couples want to enhance their relationship, the best way to communicate is to communicate in person. This part cannot be solved through software of. The closest face-to-face video call function is not available in any couple social software currently on the market. Therefore, if couples want to make videos, they need to exit "Little Love" and return to WeChat or QQ. During the investigation, one of the respondents said something very insightful: "No matter how good the software is, it is not as good as a face-to-face meeting." So I can at least use "Little Enai" to send voice or text messages, right? But it is a pity that its instant messaging section is not comprehensive enough and the experience is not good. So why do couples use it to communicate with their significant other over the near and far away?

3. Natural obstacles for couples to socialize

p>

There are two obstacles for couples to socialize. First, if your partner doesn’t use it, then you can’t use it even if you want to. When I was doing this survey, I encountered this trouble. This is equivalent to two layers of filtering. It will only be more difficult to retain or convert a user. The second is the dissolution of the relationship. Couple social networking creates a private space for a couple to get along and leaves a wonderful meeting. At the same time, when the relationship is dissolved, it will leave many bad memories. The user is likely to have used it with his ex-girlfriend, and will not I will use the same software as my current girlfriend.

4. Possible development direction of couple apps: Toolization

Among the survey respondents who have used couple social apps, the most used function is not the communication function, but the tool function, such as Say "I fell asleep", "Send distance", etc. I think couple apps can focus on exploring this type of user functions, such as the management of couple photo albums and the development of couple games. There are many couples who find themselves in the awkward situation of having nothing to say or do when they meet or chat via voice chat. In this area, couple interactive games are a good development direction.

In a couple relationship, photo retention and analysis are essential. There are many photo management software on the market, but there seems to be no one specifically for couples.
