Jerry Maguire (played by Tom Cruise) is a top agent in an international sports management company. He has a deep understanding of this industry and is a leader in the field. Jerry is young, handsome, charming, and devoted to both his delightful clients and his beautiful fiancée, Everly.
Avery (played by Kelly Preston) works in public relations. She is ambitious in her career and constantly making new changes in her private life and interpersonal relationships. Although Jerry knew how to make friends, as many of his ex-girlfriends would attest, he was not good at dealing with intimacy. In fact, there is nothing irredeemable about Jerry, but he is in trouble.
On an off-duty night, he improvised a mission statement that made exciting but unrealistic suggestions for the sports management company’s glorious future while also making The idealistic assertion that a company should focus on quality over quantity and focus its efforts on caring for a small number of truly valuable clients.
