What misunderstandings about Wuxi have you encountered?

I have a friend from Harbin who called me when he passed by Wuxi in 2000. I invited him to come. He said that Wuxi is a small city and it is not interesting. I said that it is a small city or a big city. I will treat you to dinner. . When he came, I took him around the city and scenic spots. He said that Wuxi is not a small city. Although it is not as big as Harbin, it is much more developed in all aspects.

This year he came again and visited a few places. He said, it’s over. Wuxi’s development in more than ten years is much greater than Harbin’s development in more than ten years.

I think maybe outsiders still have certain misunderstandings about Wuxi in terms of food.

Wuxi people have a sweet taste, especially some specialties such as sauced pork ribs and meat-stuffed gluten are all sweet foods, especially Wuxi steamed buns. Many northerners who come to Wuxi say they can’t get used to it. , I can’t figure out how the steamed buns could be sweet. I think this is the difference between the north and the south, just like whether soy milk is sweet or salty, or whether to peel peaches or not.

In fact, it’s not all about Wuxi cuisine when you come to Wuxi. Now Wuxi is very developed and you can eat all kinds of cuisines in Wuxi, whether it’s hot pot or Southeast Asian cuisine, it can be said that you can eat them all. So, when you come to Wuxi, don’t be afraid of not getting used to the food. Remember to bring some money and eat with an open stomach.

It’s full of differences! There are many outsiders in Wuxi, and they can’t tell the difference.

Let’s talk about a few things I encountered.

1. When I work in a company, I feel that there is a big difference in speaking. People here first try to please each other and say nice things to each other when they meet. It seems like normal everyday behavior. I once asked a colleague what this behavior meant, and she said: Everyone is happy, how great! But what should I do if I don’t know how to praise others? Unless I particularly agree and admire someone, I will only admire the facts. If I have nothing to say, I will be embarrassed! I can't say it!

2. I naturally contact others, but many people have poor contact. But I don’t know what’s wrong! I remember applying for a temporary residence permit for the first time in Wuxi. The policeman asked me to fill out a form, and I did, and I thought he had a good attitude. He asked me to fill in my husband's registration again, and I said that my husband had a local household registration. But he still asked me to fill it out. I also asked my husband in detail where he lives and where he works... I think it’s better to fill it out. I guess it’s a requirement in the system. When I started filling out my husband's form, he started apologizing again. I told him it was okay, but he still apologized. In fact, I was just filling out the form and didn’t pay attention to what he did, and I didn’t know what he was apologizing for! I’m confused too! As a result, when I went to collect the certificate, many police officers had a bad attitude. Can anyone tell me what exactly is going on? I didn’t complain to him, and I had no idea what he was apologizing for!

3. Here, as long as she speaks softly, no matter what she does, as long as others don’t know about it and she doesn’t admit it herself, she seems to be on the right side. The key is that with this way of speaking, others think she is telling the truth. What a weird thing!

4. Be sure to praise yourself! If you dare to say you are fat, she will say you look like a pig! Treat you like a joke. Is being fat so funny? Are other people’s flaws funny? Is getting to know each other just putting gold on one's face, so that gold can cover up shortcomings? Fully understand a person's strengths and weaknesses, and find that only those with the same outlook and temperament can be friends! Everyone you meet praises others and puts them down. Don’t you have any friends? Or will you stop making friends as an adult?

5. What people say is terrifying, it is a level I have never seen before! When I was taking my children to play in the community, I was asked by my mother-in-law why she didn't take care of the children. I said my mother-in-law passed away. The aunts asked again, where is my biological mother? I said, my uncle is critically ill, and my mother has to go back and take a look. ...Two days later, I pushed the child out to bask in the sun. An aunt was ten steps away. When she saw me, she immediately raised her voice, as if she was afraid I wouldn't hear, and said, "You are unfilial and not good to the elderly. You deserve to die." She is exhausted from having to take care of her children..." This kind of in-person rumor! Isn’t it too bad? But I didn't know how to refute. The child was still young and I was afraid of making a noise and scaring the child, so I had no choice but to leave. I never wanted to talk to an old woman again after that!

6. I was happily walking home wearing a newly bought big skirt. When I passed by a warehouse, the female shopkeeper’s dirty plastic sheet rubbed against my skirt.

Then he smiled happily! How perverted is this? How many years has it been since you bought clothes? I can't understand it at all!

Having said so much, if there are regional differences, we can communicate more and establish unified standards! misunderstanding? I would also like to know what these people are thinking behind their actions!

Communicate, understand, tolerate, and establish a unified behavior and bottom line! Only people will stay in this city! Wuxi has long been no longer a Wuxi for locals! Northeastern people are bad, Sichuan people are bad, and Anhui people are bad! Henan people are not good! It is not good to have too many ethnic minorities in Yunnan and Guangxi! There has been a labor shortage in the past few years, and everyone has left, so you can just play by yourself!

When I was young, I always thought that Wuxi was a small city, not as big as Suzhou, Xuzhou, Changzhou, and Zhenjiang. Later I went there and found out that Wuxi’s car license plate starts with Su B, the second largest city in Jiangsu.

I think many people think that people in Wuxi are rich, but that is not the case. Many locals are not very rich, and are not even as rich as those who come from outside to work here. Another impression is that in the past, people in the city looked down on outsiders, but now many middle-aged people in the countryside of Wuxi look down on outsiders. It may be due to low self-esteem mixed with poor self-esteem. This makes outsiders think that Wuxi people are xenophobic. There is another misunderstanding. If you come to Wuxi and have not heard the Wuxi dialect in the city, you will mistake the dialects near Suzhou as Wuxi dialect.

You can eat Wuxi peaches with a straw, but you still have to bite them
