Introduction and history of Yuanmingyuan
Yuanmingyuan is a large imperial garden in China in Qing Dynasty, located at No.28 Tsinghua West Road, Haidian District, covering an area of more than 350 hectares.

Among them, the water surface area is about 140 hectares, which is composed of Yuanmingyuan, Qichun Garden and Changchun Garden. Yuanmingyuan is the largest, so it is collectively called Yuanmingyuan (also known as Yuanming Three Gardens). Yuanmingyuan not only brought together several famous scenic spots in the south of the Yangtze River, but also transplanted western garden buildings, which was a masterpiece of gardening art at that time. It is one of the treasures of human culture and the largest museum in the world at that time.

In the last years of Kangxi and Yongzheng, the Yuanmingyuan began to be built. In the second year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1724), the expansion project of Yuanmingyuan officially began. After Emperor Qianlong succeeded to the throne, he adjusted the garden landscape of Yuanmingyuan and increased the number of architectural groups.

Yuanmingyuan has built a large number of famous scenic spots in China, especially in the south of the Yangtze River. Its main architectural types are temples, halls, pavilions, terraces, buildings, pavilions, corridors, pavilions, houses, boats, halls, bridges, doors, walls and towers, as well as temples, Taoist temples, village houses and markets.
