The apartment is divided into two buildings, A and B, commonly known as building AB. The apartment covers an area of about 24,000 square meters, with a building area of about15,000 square meters. These two apartments were built by the national government through the purchase of land. 1935, designed by Shanghai Gaihua Architects Tong Mao, Zhao Shen and Chen Zhi, and constructed by Xinjin Jikanghao Construction Factory. 1936 Construction started. Due to the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the project was suspended until the victory of the Anti-Japanese War 1945. The fourth floor of the building, from the outside to the inside, is made of steel frame, glass and prefabricated components, which completely abandons the traditional decoration and is a simple and abstract rectangular extension combination. The windows are made into long horizontal strips, giving birth to a strong sense of modernity. After the wall tiles are pasted, build the awning. Now it's East China Hotel. American Advisory Group Apartment is an important example of the development of modern architecture in China. 1992 is listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Nanjing.
