The first set of RMB was issued on 1948 12 1, and its circulation was completely stopped on 15 10. The first set of RMB was designed and produced after the China People's Liberation War turned into a strategic offensive. With the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, where the People's Liberation Army hits, the RMB will follow, based on the printing factory in the liberated areas. The second set of RMB was issued on March 1955 on the basis of the first set of RMB, 1 1 denomination, 13 version. The second set of RMB is a monetary reform adapted to the domestic and international economic situation under the situation that China people's liberation war has won the national victory, the national economic recovery and construction have begun, financial prices have stabilized and the financial situation has improved, so as to achieve a fundamental improvement in two or three years.
The third set of RMB was issued on April 20, 1960, and ceased to circulate on July 20, 2000, with a total of 7 denominations. The second set of RMB is still used for currency sharing. On April 5th, 1980, 1, 2, 5, 1 yuan coins were issued. Compared with the second set, the face value is smaller, the face value structure is reasonable, and there are many kinds of banknotes. This is printed by banknote paper designed and produced by our country, special printing equipment and fixed watermark, which is an important symbol that China's printing and coinage industry has entered a new era of independence and self-reliance.
The design of the fourth set of RMB took 1967 from the early days of the Cultural Revolution to the finalization. During the "Cultural Revolution", the plan was submitted for three times, approved by 1985 the State Council executive meeting, and issued one after another on April 27th, 1987, with 9 denominations in total, and version 12.
The Fifth Set of Renminbi In order to meet the requirements of economic development and market currency circulation, the People's Bank of China issued the fifth set of Renminbi in accordance with Order No.268 of the State Council of the People's Republic of China on the 50th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC).
