Established in 1932, this organization produced the earliest film projector in China ── the standard 35mm fixed projector. 195 1, the General Political Department of the Central Military Commission took over the institution and rented all its equipment. 1952, 1, the new factory was formally established. The factory was named the Film Machine Repair Factory of the General Political Department of the Central Military Commission. 1952 in may, the "Bayi" type 16mm mobile projector was first produced.

1953 produced Jiefang brand 10 1 35 mm mobile projector, and all components used were localized. 1954 trial-produced seven new supporting products such as Jiefang brand 102 35mm mobile projector. 1957, Jiefang brand 103 35mm mobile projector was successfully developed. In June of the same year, the factory name was changed to august first film machinery factory of China People's Liberation Army. The production equipment developed in 1958, such as pedal film receiver, 16mm film printer and ST-A animation subtitle camera, filled the gap in the production of film production equipment in China. 196 1 year, the Jinggangshan brand 103 35 mm mobile projector produced by this factory was officially listed as an export product by the state, and then a series of film protection and production auxiliary equipment were produced one after another. After 1966, the factory not only provided 26 kinds of new production testing equipment to users all over the country, but also developed and produced a 35 mm double-track projector. 1977, the factory manufactured the FTM-35mm planetarium projector. The Jinggangshan 104-X 35mm xenon lamp projector produced in 1979 is of great significance in the reform of projector light source in China. Since then, 103-GX 35mm fixed film projector, 103A-Y projector and 103A-X 35mm mobile projector have been put on the market one after another. 1February, 982, the factory name was officially changed to august first film machinery factory. During this period, 12 newly produced products were put into the market. 1983, the YLQ program-controlled printer of this factory won the second prize of scientific and technological achievements of the Ministry of Culture. For more than 30 years, this factory has provided most of the printing equipment for domestic film studios and developing and printing factories. Its products are exported to North America, Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia. Since the 1980s, this factory has been engaged in the development and manufacture of color printing equipment, photographic machinery, medical equipment, printing machinery and other products besides film machinery.
