Historical evolution of Fengshan city
Fengshan was called Daitou in ancient times. Fengshan was originally a county name. In the early Qing Dynasty, Wannian County was divided into Taiwan Province Province and Fengshan County. Fengshan, formerly known as County, was located in xinglong village (now Zuo Ying). At that time, the city was called Shoutou, and its administrative area was under the jurisdiction of Dazhuli in Fengshan County. In the fifty-first year of Qianlong, the forest changed, and the Datian brothers, citizens of this county, rose up and captured Daizitou County until peace. In the fifty-third year of Qianlong, Fengshan County moved to Daitou, and the original name of this city gradually became Fengshan. There is an ancient legend that in the past of Fengshan, a stone suddenly cracked and there was a cloud in it: "Fengshan is one." As for the annals of Fujian, there is a record similar to Fengshan: "Tenants plow the fields and get stone tablets, with the eight characters of' beautiful scenery, people live in Fujian'."

Fengshan is named because there is a mountain near Fengbi, Xiaogang, called Fengshan, which spreads its wings like a phoenix. The county name takes this meaning and is named after the place name. Therefore, it follows the old county name. There is no such mountain in Fengshan District. After the war, it was changed to Fengshan Town, Kaohsiung County. 1 July 9721,changed to Fengshan city. 2010 65438+February 25th, changed to Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City.
