Why did Lu Bu never comment on Guan Yu, or even mention Guan Yu?
Among the Three Kingdoms, Guan Yu is famous for his bravery. Guan Yu often disdains to call others "ordinary men" and respectfully calls Lu Bu "General Lu". However, I have never heard anything from Lu Bu about Guan Yu, and even mentioned Guan Yu in front of others.

Why did Lu Bu never comment on Guan Yu, or even mention Guan Yu? In fact, this is related to Lu Bu's own experience and personality. After all, Lu Bu doesn't know much about Guan Yu, and Guan Yu is not the object of Lu Bu's attention. Coupled with Lu Bu's lust for money, he was not interested in Guan Yu at all. Therefore, Lu Bu naturally won't mention Guan Yu, nor will he evaluate Guan Yu. Let's talk about specific reasons.

1. There is too little intersection between them, and Lu Bu doesn't know Guan Yu. In the Three Kingdoms, Guan Yu and Lu Bu only met in two places. One place is the tiger's mouth of the prison, and it is also the place where three British wars took place. At that time, during the crusade against Dong Zhuo, Liu and others briefly attacked Lu Bu. Another place is Xuzhou. After Lu Bu defected to Liu Bei, he occupied Xuzhou again. Finally, Liu Bei attacked Lu Bu with the help of Cao Cao. After the defeat of Lu Bu, he was killed by Cao Cao in Baimenlou. At that time, Guan Yu followed Liu Bei and had a brief contact with Lu Bu.

Because Lu Bu and Guan Yu have too little contact and short contact time, he doesn't know Guan Yu, and there is no friendship between them, so Lu Bu can't evaluate Guan Yu and there is no need to mention Guan Yu.

2. Guan Yu is not the focus of Lu Bu. Lu Bu took refuge in Ding Yuan at first, and later worked for Dong Zhuo. After fleeing the capital in the turmoil, Lu Bu took refuge in Yuan Shu, Yuan Shao, JASON ZHANG, Zhang Miao, Liu Bei and others. After stealing Xuzhou, he fought Cao Cao several times until he was defeated and killed. It can be seen that Lu Bu was at least a vassal at that time, and he was also concerned about the vassal at that time.

At this time, Guan Yu was only Liu Bei's favorite, and the gap between Guan Yu and the vassal status was too big to attract Lu Bu's attention. Therefore, Lu Bu didn't want to mention or evaluate Guan Yu.

3. Lu Bu's character is greedy for money and lustful, and he is not interested in Guan Yu's affairs. According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, Lu Bu's character is "mercenary" and greedy for beauty. When Wang Chong rebelled against Dong Zhuo in order to win over Lu Bu, he made people send money to Lu Bu to send beautiful women. Sure enough, Lu Bu acted the story of losing Sim not long after, and then rebelled and killed Dong Zhuo, the adoptive father.

Guan Yu, a military commander, had neither money nor beauty, and was insatiable for Lu Bu. Therefore, Lu Bu is not interested in Guan Yu's affairs, nor does he want to evaluate Guan Yu.
