Small merge is called small merge, which is mainly to select some small and adjacent hfiles to merge into a larger HFile and delete the expired data in HFILE.

Major consolidation is called grand consolidation, which combines all HFILEs under a column family into one big HFILE, and deletes three types of invalid data: expired data, deleted data (marked with Delete) and data with excessive versions.
