The film tells the story of a Danish master sergeant and a group of captured German children. The master sergeant is a middle-aged man and a veteran who has experienced the whole war. You can imagine how much he hates the Germans. So, in the first half of the movie, he was like that perverted officer in an all-metal jacket, growling and tyrannizing. He is the embodiment of hatred in the whole country.

Finally, the master sergeant couldn't bear to watch the last four children die of mines, so he sent them to the border privately and let them escape.
