Historical Evolution of Kengkou Village
Kengkou Village is said to be a complete village in Shaoxing during the Southern Song Dynasty (1132-1162), when people with three surnames, namely Zhai, Liang (different tribes) and Kuang, lived. After the Ming Dynasty, the descendants of Zhai and Kuang no longer lived here.

Kengkou people are Taoxi people. In the early days of the People's Republic of China, judging from the general public buildings, the word "Taoxi" remained. Such as Taoxi Primary School, Taoxi Yue Feng Building and Taoxi Ancient Temple. 1998 before the renovation of the Liang ancestral hall, the front of the back porch was engraved with "Jinjiang, Yibo Nanxiong Encui Garden; The couplets of "Jiayuan slate, lingering in Yintaoxi, Dongguan" are still clearly visible. With this, the ancestors of Kengkou Village belong to Taoxi people.

/kloc-at the beginning of 0/950, Kengkou was placed under the jurisdiction of Quantang Township, the fifth district of Dongguan County. 1953 was renamed Quantang Township, the third district of Dongguan County, and Kengkou was still under the jurisdiction of Quantang. 1955 was renamed Quantang Township, Liaobu District, Dongguan County, and a mutual aid group was established in Kengkou, which still belongs to Quantang Township. 1956, the pithead mutual aid group was changed to the primary society. 1957 12 Liaobu was renamed Daxiang, and Quantang was called Advanced Agricultural Production Cooperative. 1September, 958, Liaobu withdrew from Daxiang and was renamed People's Commune. Quantang was changed into a production management area, and the pit was owned by Longquan Camp. Quantang production brigade was established in June, 1959, and Kengkou still belongs to Quantang production brigade. At the beginning of 1963, another production brigade was set up at Kengkou from Quantang. 1964 merged into Quantang Brigade. 1980 65438+February, Kengkou was separated from Quantang to set up a new production team, which was in charge of the first, second, third and fourth production teams and five production teams next to the pavilion. 1983, Liaobu was renamed as Liaobu District, and Kengkou was renamed as Kengkou Township after the cancellation of the production brigade. 1987, Liaobu District was renamed as Liaobu Town, and Kengkou Township was called Management District. 1998, Kengkou was abandoned and renamed Kengkou Village.
