Yuquan Mountain in Beijing is not allowed to enter and is not open to the public yet. Yuquan Mountain is located in the west of the Summer Palace. You can see Yuquan Mountain and its tall pagodas from the west dike of the Summer Palace.
Yuquanshan introduced
Yuquan Mountain is located in the west of the Summer Palace. The mountain trend is northwest and saddle-shaped, with the depth of 1300m, the widest point from east to west of about 450m, and the elevation of the main peak of 100m. There are grotesque caves in the mountains, gurgling streams, gurgling springs, gurgling water, and a treasure trove of geomantic omen. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the palace water was transported from Yuquan and became one of the folk water springs. Since the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, it has been a famous scenic spot in the suburbs of Beijing.
Opening reason
Although Yuquan Mountain used to be a scenic spot, it is not open to the public now. Now Yuquan Mountain belongs to the military control zone, so you can't visit it at will. But as a part of the Summer Palace landscape, it plays the role of finishing touch. You can clearly see Yuquan Mountain and Yuquan Tower on the west bank of the Summer Palace, and the scenery will change. With the continuous progress, mountains, towers, lakes and forests will show different levels of collocation and show different scenery.
The origin of Yuquan Mountain
Yuquan in Beijing is on Yuquan Mountain, named after the spring water. Spring water gushed from the mountain gap, and the water rolled silver flowers, just like an emerald rainbow. Before the Ming Dynasty, there was a saying that Yuquan hung a rainbow, which was listed as one of the eight scenic spots in Yanjing. According to legend, Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty often came here for sightseeing. In order to verify the water quality of this spring, people take water samples from famous springs all over the country and compare them with Yuquan water. According to the weighing results, the quality of each bucket (silver bucket) of Jinan Pearl Spring, Wuxi Huishan Spring, Hangzhou Hupao Spring and Suzhou Huqiu Spring is above 122%, and only one or two of Yuquan water is light, high in quality, pure and sweet, so Qianlong gave it the title of the first spring in the world and inscribed "Yuquan Tu Tu".
Ethnicity
It was favored by the rulers at the end of 12 century because it was close to the mountains and rivers and not far from the capital. According to legend, Jin Zhangzong once built Yuquan Mountain Palace and Furong Hall here. Since the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, it has also become a summer resort for emperors. /kloc-at the end of 0/3 century, Kublai Khan of Yuan Shizu built the Zhaohua Temple here; During the period of Ming Yingzong, there were upper and lower Huayan Temple. In the 19th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1680), the original palaces and temples were renovated and expanded. In the thirty-first year of Kangxi, the original "Cheng Xinyuan" was renamed "Jingming Garden". The majestic Yuquan Mountain Jingming Garden has become one of the "three mountains and five gardens" and is famous in all directions. 1860, it was destroyed by British and French invaders, and it was restored again in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty.
