1. Title bar

After starting Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.0, the words Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.0 will be displayed in the title bar. After creating or opening a document, the location and file name of the document will also be displayed later.

2. Menu bar

Dreamweaver 8.0 has 10 menus, namely file, edit, view, insert, modify, text, command, site, window and help.

(1) file: used to manage files. Such as creating, opening, saving, importing, converting, outputting and printing.

(2) Edit: used to edit the text. Such as cutting, copying, pasting, searching, replacing and preference setting.

(3) View: used to manage and switch view modes, and to show and hide auxiliary view functions such as toolbars, rulers and grid lines.

(4) Insert: used to insert various elements, such as pictures, multimedia components, tables, hyperlinks, etc.

(5) Modify: it has the function of modifying page attributes and page elements, such as inserting tables, splitting and merging cells, aligning objects, modifying libraries, templates, time axes, etc.

(7) Command: including all additional command items.

(8) Sites: used to create and manage sites.

(9) Window: used to show and hide the switching operation between the control panel and various file windows.

(10) Help: online help function.

3. Insert panel group

The Insert panel group integrates all the objects that can be applied in a web page, including the options in the Insert menu. Insert panel group is actually an icon-based "Insert" menu command. Just like common toolbars in other application software, users can easily add web page elements such as images, sounds, multimedia animations, tables, layers, frames, forms, Flash, ActiveX, etc. through icon buttons, making all operations easier and faster.

4. Document toolbar

The Document toolbar contains buttons that enable users to quickly switch between different views of the document (such as code view, design view, and split view showing both code and design views). The document toolbar also contains some common commands and options related to viewing documents and transferring documents between local and remote sites.

5. Document window

The document window displays editing documents, which is the main place for editing various web page elements. Dreamweaver 8.0 provides three different styles of document window display modes. Users can choose any view as needed, and can switch and refresh it at any time. Design view is a design environment for visual page layout, visual editing and rapid application development. Code view is a manual coding environment for writing and editing HTML, JavaScript, server language code and any other type of code. Code and Design view is an organic combination of Design view and Code view, which provides the function of simultaneously seeing the code of the same document in a single window and finally seeing the visual effect in the browser.

6. Property Panel

The property panel is used to display and edit the most commonly used properties of the currently selected page elements (such as text, images, etc.). ). The content in the property panel will vary depending on the selected element. Because the property panel does not load the properties of page elements in all document windows on the panel, it dynamically displays their properties according to the selected objects. For example, if an image is currently selected, the related properties of the image will appear on the property panel; If text is selected, the property panel will become the relevant property of the text accordingly.

7. Status bar

The status bar is used to display other information of the currently edited document. Such as document size, estimated download time, window size, zoom ratio and tag selector.

8. Floating panel group

Other panels, such as CSS, applications, files, frames, history and so on, can be simply called floating panels. These panels are divided into several groups according to their functions. They can all be expanded outside the editing window by using the expand button, and can be selectively opened and hidden by commands in the Window menu.
