Brief introduction of Zhongtiaoshan Mountain
Zhongtiao Mountain is located in the south of Shanxi Province, between the Yellow River and the Sushui River. It spans Linfen, Yuncheng and Jincheng, and lives between Taihang Mountain and Huashan Mountain. The mountain is long and narrow, hence the name Zhongtiaoshan. The main peak Snow Mountain is1994m above sea level, located in the southeast of Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province. The northeast end of Mount Li is connected with Wuwangshan, with an altitude of 2,322 meters, which is the birthplace of Sushui River. Zhongtiaoshan is strategically important because it shields Luoyang, Tongguan and the Central Plains, guards Xi and Northwest China, and overlooks southern Shaanxi and northern Henan. In the early 1990s, more than 20,000 hectares of virgin forest were found here, including precious tree species such as Cercidiphyllum japonicum, Bai Shu, Niubisuan, Redstone Chicken and Pteroceltis tatarinowii, as well as rare animals such as golden cat, golden eagle, leopard, macaque and giant salamander. Li Daoyuan of the Northern Wei Dynasty wrote in the Notes on Water Classics: "The strange peak stands in the summer, the solitary peak is marked, the spring surface is covered, the cypress peak is shaded, and the spring is full of water.
