Were there any martial arts experts in ancient times?
In ancient China, there was no martial arts master in a clear sense! !

But there are a few people who can be called martial arts experts! !

For example, there was a Zhangsongxi during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.

In the thirty-fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, namely 1606, Shen resigned from his post and returned to his hometown in Ningbo. According to historical records, "Dumen is not nine years old". In fact, at the age of 70, he is in good health, and at least he can walk around Ningbo. He probably knew when he was young that there was a famous martial artist named Bian Cheng in Ningbo during the reign of Hongzhi Zhengde. At the end of Jiajing, there was another martial arts master in Ningbo, whose style was quite different from that of Bian Cheng. His name was Zhang Songxi. When Zhang Songxi became famous, Shen was in his twenties, and he may have heard of some deeds of Zhang at that time. Later, Shen was admitted to the imperial examination and became an official in North Korea. He has served as assistant minister of the official department, minister of the official department, university student of Dongge, prince of Shaobao, minister of the household department and university student of Wuyingdian. Until he became a cabinet record. Over the past 40 years, his career has experienced ups and downs. Although he has returned to his hometown several times, he may not have time to make a biography for a martial arts master in his hometown. Now I quit my job and went home, so I went to visit Zhang Songxi's apprentice, collected Zhang Songxi's deeds and wrote a biography of the blogger Zhang Songxi. Shen, a great official in Wanli period, had a bad reputation as an official, but this article he wrote in his spare time became an important document in the history of China Wushu.

Time flies for over 60 years. In the eighth year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, 1669, Huang Zongxi, who was giving a lecture at Yanqing Temple in Ningbo, suddenly learned a news that a friend of his had died of illness. This friend is a martial arts master in Ningbo, a disciple of Zhang Songxi and a master of his son Huang Baijia. Huang Zongxi was very sad about the unfortunate death of his old friend and wrote the epitaph of Wang Zhengnan. In his inscription at the end of the article, he wrote: "There are skills like this, but none; If you don't lose your technology in the end, your ambition is pathetic. The water is shallow and the mountain is old. Who can guard the lonely grave? Depending on this inscription, there are several tests. " Huang Zongxi is worthy of extraordinary wisdom and has the foresight of historians. He seems to have a hunch that the life story and martial origin of a generation of martial arts master Wang Zhengnan will be buried in the dust of time in the near future. Only this epitaph written by him will provide important textual research for future generations. The facts since then have proved Huang Zongxi's foresight. His Epitaph of Wang Zhengnan occupies a much higher position in the history of China martial arts than Biography of Zhang Songxi, which seems to be an important martial arts school and martial arts boxing, similar to the Bible!

And Zhang Sanfeng! ! Hehe, he is also a famous man with a surname in history! ! !

In fact, there are still some here, so I won't list them one by one! !
