The history of the Fair Cup
During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, the government set up an imperial ware factory in Jingdezhen, also known as the imperial kiln factory, to manufacture imperial porcelain for the palace. Jingdezhen belonged to Fuliang County, Jiangxi Province at that time. After hearing the news that Jingdezhen opened the Imperial Kiln Factory, porcelain workers from neighboring counties such as Duchang, Fuzhou, Fengcheng, Leping and Poyang gathered in Jingdezhen, among which Duchang and Fuzhou had the most porcelain workers. Imperial porcelain has high requirements and is difficult to manufacture. The porcelain-making workers who choose the imperial kiln factory are all skilled craftsmen, and the imperial porcelain they make is exquisite, and the "Fair Cup" is one of them.
