The construction of Xingning-Wuhua section of Xingning-Shanwei Expressway (including Shejiang Town in Meixian County of Meizhou City and Huayang Branch Line in Wuhua County) started at 20 14. The project starts from Zhuanshui Town, Wuhua County, connects with Xing Ping Expressway, crosses S228 and Wuhua River to the south, passes through Shuizhai Town, Wuhua County, crosses S 120, passes through Hengbei Town, and reaches Anliu Town to the south. The total length of K-line is 46.333 kilometers. The Shejiang branch line, with a total length of 27.705 kilometers, starts from the northwest of Guangzhou (Meizhou) Industrial Transfer Industrial Park in Shejiang Town, Meixian District, Meizhou City, connects with Xingshe Expressway via Shejiang North Interchange, crosses Meijiang to the southwest, passes through Shuikou Town, xingning city, Meizhou City, Hedong Town, Wuhua County, and ends in Hengbei Town. The total length of Huayang Branch Line is15.572km, starting from Anliu Town, going southwest through Meilin Town, and ending at the planned Shanzhan Expressway.
Shanwei section of Xingshan Expressway is an important part of the "second vertical line" of Guangdong Expressway network planning, and together with other sections of the "second vertical line" constitutes a new inter-provincial passage between Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces. The route starts from Pingdong Town, Haifeng County, passes through Tangke Town, Tanxi Town, Lufeng City, and Chikeng Town, Haifeng County, ends in Qiantian Town, Honghai Bay Economic Development Zone, and ends at provincial highway S24 1 (Honghai Bay Avenue). The total length of the route is 38.2km, and the estimated total investment of the project is 4.465 billion yuan. Highway construction standard of two-way four-lane design speed 100km/h is adopted. Five interchanges, including Tang Wei Hub, Lufeng West Interchange, Xihu Hub, Shagang Interchange and Honghai Bay Interchange, are set up, with a service area of 1 and an estimated 2065438.
In order to achieve "high connection", the project has set up Tang Wei Hub Interchange to connect Chaohui Expressway and Xihu Hub Interchange to connect Shenshan Expressway. After the project is completed and opened to traffic, the three expressways, Xingshan Expressway, Chaohui Expressway and Shenshan Expressway, will be seamlessly connected, and the expressway network of Zhang Zhenxing's economic development will be built in eastern Guangdong.
It is understood that the construction of Shanwei section of Xingshan Expressway plays an important role in strengthening the traffic between Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces, increasing the traffic link between Meizhou and Shanwei, and promoting the coordinated revitalization of social economy along Shanwei City.
The Shanwei section of Xingshan Expressway is expected to be completed and opened to traffic before the end of 20 19.
