Where is the Nanman Railway going?
Nanman Railway: Changchun to Fengtian (now Shenyang) to Dalian, with 74 stops and 438 miles, built by Russians and developed and operated by Japanese. In this process, the people of China won the right of way and learned how to develop railways, which also promoted the rapid development of Northeast China in the1930s. In the stormy late Qing Dynasty, in order to develop Siberian resources, Russia entered the northeast of China and developed the Middle East Railway. This wide-gauge railway (1524 mm) meets Russian standards. Subsequently, in order to fully recover and erode the Northeast, the southern section of the Middle East Railway connecting the major densely populated towns in the Northeast was built.
