The school was founded in 1942 and developed on the basis of the original Sino-German county middle school. 1April, 949, Zhide was liberated, and the people's government decided to name the school Zhide junior high school in Weinan administrative office. 1958, Liu Dong and Zhide counties merged, so it was renamed Dongzhi County No.1 Middle School and enrolled senior high school classes. 196 1, the school was renamed Meicheng junior high school.
