The ground under our feet is not as solid and flat as we thought. The ground is made up of a large movable board, and they are not all connected together. They touch each other, squeeze, squeeze. It made some places more crowded and higher in altitude, and turned into primitive mountains, which became the mountains we see now. Due to various forces, the surface of the earth's crust is constantly moving and changing, and some places are squeezed higher and higher by forces from the inside of the earth.
Hundreds of years or more later, mountains formed. The original seabed will gradually rise and become a new mountain range. Himalayas is the most majestic and highest mountain range in the world. But 80 million years ago, it was a huge ocean. Due to the extrusion, the ground gradually rises from the sea surface, with an average of tens of meters per kloc-0/0000. Mount Everest is now 8848 meters high and is the highest mountain range in the world. A large number of ancient marine fossils were found during the formation of the Himalayas, which proved that it was originally an ocean. Of course, volcanic eruptions or other reasons may also form mountains.
There are Dongping Mountain and Yeshan Mountain in the north of Liuhe District in the suburbs, Fangshan Mountain and Lingyan Mountain in the southeast, among which basalt is the main one. There are Lashan Mountains in Pukou, Northeast and Southwest China. The western part of the mountain range is distributed along the first pillar of the river (that is, the northern branch of Zhongshan), with Qixia Mountain, Nanxiangshan Mountain and Mufu Mountain.
There are the most southern branches of Zhongshan, including Tangshan, Fangshan and Niushou Mountain. The eastern part of Laoshui County and Gaochun County is a part of the Maoshan Mountains. In addition to these named hills, there are many unknown locations. In fact, Mount Zijinshan, Mount Jiuhua and other mountains are the remains of Mount Maoshan in Jurong.
