The history of Nanma Town
Battle of south Malaysia

Nanma Town is a small mountain town with red houses and green trees. In spring, peach blossoms and pear blossoms are everywhere, which are delicate and charming; In summer, the trees are lush and sunny; Autumn is full of fruits. The sun shines brightly in winter. The mountains are good and the water is good. Yiyuan people have more brains. There was a battle here 64 years ago-the Battle of South Malaysia.

1947 In May, after the world-famous Battle of Meng Lianggu, Chiang Kai-shek's ruling clique was unwilling to fail. After more than 40 days of rest and preparation, we concentrated the main force 1 1 reorganization division (the reorganization division is a corps-level organization), 32 brigades, with more than 240 thousand people, and took a dense and steady step. At the end of June, the People's Liberation Army Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army crossed the Yellow River in Luxi and began a strategic counterattack. The East China Field Army of Shandong People's Liberation Army (hereinafter referred to as Hua Ye) decided to attack Lunan, Jin-Pu Road Tai 'an and Yanzhou sections with the first, third, fourth, eighth and tenth columns, while the second, sixth, seventh and ninth columns and the special forces columns were reserved for interior-line operations to muzzle the enemy face to face.

Because the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army and the peripheral forces of Hua Ye successively won the victory of body count, it seriously threatened Xuzhou, a strategic place on the enemy's flank and rear, forcing the enemy to transfer seven BGF divisions from Luzhong to help, leaving only four BGF divisions ahead. At this time, following the instructions of the Central Military Commission to "seize the favorable opportunity and launch a fierce attack on the enemy", Hua Ye troops decided to annihilate the enemy reorganization No.1 1 1 Division in Nanma area with four columns inside lines to cooperate with the outside forces. In this campaign, Hua Ye took part in the war with four columns of the 2nd, 6th, 7th and 9th columns, three regiments of Bohai Military Region troops, two regiments of Field Artillery Corps, Pomegranate Artillery Corps and Luzhong Military Region troops, totaling more than 65.438 million people. The Kuomintang troops participating in the war were: the 11th Division, the 9th Division, the 25th Division, the Yellow Division and the 64th Division, with a total of more than 65,438+10,000 people.

The 11th reorganization division, one of the enemy's "five main forces", is a unit started by Chen Cheng, chief of staff of the Kuomintang Army. It was fully equipped with American guns and a few tanks, and its teacher Hu Lian was highly valued by Chiang Kai-shek. Since the liberation war, the Ministry has not been fatally hit by the PLA, so it is arrogant. After the division occupied Nanma area, Nanma, Gaozhuang, Beiliujiazhuang, ShishQian Shan (Erlang Mountain) and Wujiazhuang were the main positions, and the division headquarters was stationed in Nanma. In addition, there are outlying strongholds within 5 kilometers around Nanma, occupying more than a dozen hills and building more than 2,000 bunkers, forming a tight bunker group.

The deployment of Hua Ye's troops is: the 9th Division enters between Nanma and Lucun with 1 division, cutting off the enemy's retreat and ensuring the safety of the main force. The main force of this division attacked South Malaysia. The ninth main force attacked Zhifang and Nanma along Dapo and Meng Po. All the way along the Diamond Mountain area, Liuzong passed through Shiqiao and Anle, and the main force passed through the Eight Immortals Guanzhuang, Zhaojiayu and Xiaoshui (Xiaoshui) and quickly inserted into the East and West White areas. On the other hand, the main force attacked Nanma in the direction of Zhangzhuang Village. The second vertical 1 division attacked Nanma along Qianpo, Huashui, Yuezhuang and Rulinji. The seventh column was inserted into the small village area from the north of Donglidian, and the main force was to control the Niulang Guanzhuang and Nan 'anle areas, and the main points of Daxian Mountain, Qingquan Mountain, Jiuding Lotus Mountain and Langhaoding were captured on the first line, and the enemy's sixty-fourth division was blocked to help. The Luzhong Military Region inserted two regiments in the area west of Lucun, destroying the enemy's traffic and communication facilities, attacking small enemy troops and cooperating with the main force. The Hua Ye headquarters where Chen Yi, Su Yu and Tan Zhenlin are located is located in Dou Xianshun's home in Shangtan Village (now Sancha Township) in Wentan District.

Hua Ye's ministries split up according to the scheduled deployment, but they were caught in heavy rain on the way, and their actions were blocked. It was dusk, and the enemy's 1 1 division was surrounded and attacked. By the morning of 18, in addition to the 26th Division attacking the highland south of the valley, the 9th Division attacked Lishan and Yongxing Guanzhuang after capturing Jingshan. The sixth vertical has controlled the positions of Jiuding Mountain and Fenghuang Mountain, and the main force has entered Chongxi Guanzhuang and the next line, attacking Matou Valley and Taipingding; The second vertical entered the north-south line of Bucun, and the main force continued to attack Taipingding with the cooperation of the sixth vertical. After a day of fierce fighting in 18, the enemy retreated to the main position to fight back, leaving only one peripheral stronghold, Lishan and Matou Valley. After the ministries of Hua Ye occupied the peripheral positions, they attacked Gaozhuang and Beibu Gulf East in the ninth vertical direction, Matougu and Gu Quan Zhuang in the sixth vertical direction, and Wujiazhuang and ShixiQian Shan in the second vertical direction. 19, the enemy, the army and the air force cooperated to fight, and dispatched 12 planes to bomb various positions in Hua Ye four times. In the morning, the ninth column captured an important stronghold of the enemy's 18th brigade engineering barracks. Fifty regiments and fifty-one regiments of the Sixth Vertical and Seventeenth Division captured the commanding heights of Beiliujiazhuang Beiling. After the enemy lost his position, he launched a crazy counterattack with several times my strength. After a fierce battle of 1 day, the 5 1 regiment repelled the enemy's attack of 12, annihilated more than 500 enemies and killed more than 400 people in 5 1 regiment. After the enemy retreated to the main position, they relied on strong fortifications to fight back. Due to the continuous heavy rain, the ammunition of the PLA was affected by moisture and failed a lot. Coupled with the lack of research equipment, heavy casualties in repeated struggles. 19, Chiang Kai-shek ordered him to reorganize the 9th, 25th and 64th divisions and rush to South Malaysia to reinforce the 11th division. At the same time, the Eighth Army of Li Mi rushed to Linqu from Weixian (now Weicheng District of Weifang City) overnight, breaking my retreat and attempting to counter the encirclement and suppression of the People's Liberation Army. By the 20th of the war, various ministries in Hua Ye had been fighting for several days, which dealt a certain blow to the enemy, but failed to annihilate the enemy's effective forces. The enemy is still fighting in the highlands around South Malaysia, and the battle is deadlocked. From 19, the 25th and 64th divisions attacked Qingquanshan position of Seventh General Manager as far as Jiagu, and the enemy 64th division 1 brigade invaded Dasangshu village in the north. On 2 1 day, under the cover of artillery fire, the enemy troops on the defensive launched many counterattacks against various ministries in Hua Ye, and fought fiercely for a whole day, all of which were repelled. General Hua Ye originally planned to launch a general attack again that night, but the enemy aid has broken through the seven vertical positions, making it difficult for the enemy trapped in South Malaysia to be annihilated in a short time. In order to gain the initiative, Chief Hua Ye telegraphed the Central Military Commission to stop attacking on 20th, that is, he withdrew from the fighting that night, and the columns moved to Linqu West, North and Southeast to rest.

In the Battle of South Malaysia, Hua Ye's ministries fought hard for four days and nights, which dealt a powerful blow to the enemy's reorganization 1 1 division and all the aid to the enemy. More than 9,000 people were wiped out, and Hua Ye's ministries also paid 1000 casualties. Although the campaign failed to achieve the expected goal due to subjective underestimation of the enemy, continuous rain, flash floods, many ammunition failures due to moisture, and insufficient attack and rescue power, Hua Ye seriously killed and contained the enemy, forcing it to turn back for reinforcements, creating opportunities for the People's Liberation Army to destroy the enemy on the western and eastern fronts, and effectively cooperating with the counterattack strategy of Liu Deng's army.

1947 The China People's Liberation Army basically smashed the all-round attack of the Kuomintang troops on the liberated areas, forcing Chiang Kai-shek to turn to defense in other battlefields except Shaanxi (western battlefield) and Shandong (eastern battlefield). After the total annihilation of the seventy-four reorganization divisions in the East Battlefield, the Kuomintang army regrouped the attack corps and concentrated the forces of nine reorganization divisions. With the cooperation of two reorganization divisions in Linyi, it adopted the tactics of intensive promotion, slow and steady progress and step by step to invade the Luzhong Mountain area again. In order to crush the enemy's key attacks, on June 30th, the main force of Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army first crossed the Yellow River and launched an attack on the enemy in southwest Shandong. In order to mobilize and disperse the enemy in the movement and create opportunities to annihilate the enemy, the East China Field Army directly cooperated with the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army, and decided that most of the main forces would attack behind the enemy lines, and a small number of the main forces would continue to fight on interior lines to contain the enemy and launch attacks. This action seriously threatened Xuzhou, a strategic place on the enemy's flank and rear, and forced the enemy to deploy seven divisions from Luzhong to help from July 12, leaving only four divisions in the front to build fortifications in Nanma, Zhazhai Village, Donglidian and Yishui, to control key points and wait for an opportunity to commit another crime.

When an enemy force in the Lushan mountain area was forced to retreat to the west, the East China Field Army seized the fighter plane in accordance with the instructions of the Central Military Commission, concentrated the second, sixth, seventh and ninth columns in the interior and launched an attack on the eleventh division of the Kuomintang in South Malaysia. After several days of fighting, 1 1 division was hit and killed to a certain extent, and the operations of the peripheral corps were coordinated. Due to the continuous rainstorm and the approaching of enemy reinforcements, Hua Ye troops withdrew from the fighting and moved to the southwest and east of Linqu for rectification.

When Hua Ye troops besieged the enemy division 1 1 in Nanma area, about 9 regiments of the enemy eighth army (less than 42 divisions) and the security division 1 stationed in Changwei area invaded Linqu. The enemy first occupied Longshan and Qushan to the east of Linqu. The next day, its main force occupied Linqu City in an attempt to coordinate the 11th Division of Nanma. When it was discovered that Hua Ye's internal army had been evacuated from South Malaysia to North, it took Linqu as the center, built fortifications and organized defense. Hua Ye's internal affairs army is determined to use its unstable foothold to annihilate it.

Ministries and departments began to fight. That night, the second column approached Linqu City and launched an attack on Nanguan. Except for the ninth column 1 Division, which went straight into Longgang, east of Linqu from the north of the city, the main force didn't reach the attack position until dawn on the 25th, that is, attacked as planned and broke into Beiguan. The sixth column detoured to the east of the city and also attacked Longgang and Gu Ni Mountain. With the cooperation of the 27th Division of the Ninth Column, two battalions on the defensive were wiped out, cutting off the enemy's retreat in the direction of wei county. At the same time, the Bohai Military Region troops attacked Dongjia Yatou, and the enemy fled to Linqu City.

On the 25th, the second and ninth columns attacked the city. At the same time, wipe out the enemy on the northeast periphery of Linqu with six vertical lines, and prepare to wipe out the enemy that Changle may help south. With the seventh column 1 division to attack Guashan, fight to the death with the enemy. By 26th, the ninth column occupied most areas of Sushan and Beiguan, but failed to attack the city wall because the enemy in Chengguan was not destroyed. The second column broke into Nanguan, and the first regiment of its fifth division broke through the city wall from the west, but the breakthrough was blocked by the enemy because the follow-up troops failed to keep up. Seven companies entered the city, fighting alone, with the most casualties. Subsequently, the 9th and 27th Divisions cooperated with the 6th Divisions to capture the strongholds of Longshan and Zhaihushan in the northeast of Linqu and annihilate the enemy 1 unit. The first and second pillars of the main force, etc. , has repeatedly siege, but all failed. At this time, the 64th Division and the 9th Division, which went south to aid the enemy, have started to launch fierce attacks on the resistance positions in Hua Ye, and entered the east-west lines of Yinkuangyu and Baotou Valley (northeast of Yuezhuang). Hua Ye transferred the first part of the seventh column to strengthen directional resistance, alerted wei county with troops of the Bohai Military Region, and transferred the main force of the sixth column, Xidumi River, to participate in the siege. At that time, the Mi River rose rapidly, the troops took risks, and many people and equipment were washed away by the rapids. It was not until the night of the 28th that it reached the west of Mihe River. On the evening of 29th, Hua Ye launched a general assault with three columns. Although the troops fought bravely, they failed to break through the city wall due to bad weather, wet ammunition, insufficient preparation for tackling key problems and insufficient cooperation between the troops. In the direction of resistance, due to the lack of troops, the east-west front of Sanchadian was broken by the enemy. After the enemy occupied Sanchadian and other places, he continued to commit crimes in the north. In view of the continuous combat for half a month, Hua Ye was very tired and suffered heavy casualties. At the same time, affected by flash floods, it was difficult to transport food and supplies and the wounded to the rear, so he decided to quit the fighting. On the evening of 30th, all the troops moved to the north of Ji Jiao Railway and Zhucheng respectively, and the fighting ended.
