Which city is Huating located in?
In the Republic of China, the old name of Songjiang area in Shanghai was changed. From the Qin and Han Dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty, this piece of land in Shanghai has always been called "Huating", located in today's Songjiang District. Songjiang, Qinjian Town, Tangjian County, Yuanjianfu, the national textile center of Ming and Qing Dynasties, is a metropolis in the southeast and a famous land of plenty in the south of the Yangtze River. It is also called Yun Jian, Rongcheng and Shui Gu. In the 24th year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (2 19), Lu Xun, a famous Soochow player, named Huating Hou with merit, and Huating first appeared in Historical Records. From the tenth year of Tang Tianbao (AD 75 1 year) to the end of Qing Dynasty, Huating County, Huating House, Songjiang House and Louxian County were all located here. In the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty (1277), it was promoted to Huating House and changed to Songjiang House the following year. By the end of the tenth year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (1805), it had evolved into 1 house (Songjiang), 7 counties (Huating, Shanghai, Qingpu, Lou, Fengxian, Jinshan and Nanhui) and 1 hall (Chuansha). Songjiang House has Huating County in the south and Lou County in the north. In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), the government was abandoned, and Huating and Louxian were merged into Huating County. In the third year of the Republic of China (19 14), it was changed to Songjiang county. Huating is Songjiang District in Shanghai today. Huating County was established in the tenth year of Tang Tianbao (75 1), Huating House was established here in the fourteenth year of Yuan Dynasty (1277), and it was renamed Songjiang House the following year. Songjiang Prefecture is based in Huating County. From the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Songjiang Prefecture was divided into six counties: Shanghai, Qingpu, Louxian, Jinshan, Fengxian and Nanhui, and Chuansha Fumin Hall. In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), Fucun County in Songjiang was abandoned, and Louxian County was merged into Huating County in the same year. In the third year of the Republic of China, it was renamed Songjiang County because of the same name as Huating County in Gansu Province. 1958 Songjiang was assigned to Shanghai. During the Republic of China, Songjiang County Government and Jiangsu No.3 and fourth area Commissioners' Offices were located here. "Songjiang", originally meaning Suzhou River (Wusong River) in Shanghai, has been under the jurisdiction of Songjiang Prefecture since ancient times, and before the Song Dynasty, the Wusong River was larger than the Huangpu River, so it was named after the river (Wusong River's real name was Songjiang (see Shangshu Gong Yu)); The Huangpu River from Songjiang District to Huangpu District (that is, the middle and upper reaches of Huangpu River) used to be called "Shanghai Pu", and the Huangpu River east of Suzhou Estuary (originally a tributary of Wusong River, that is, Tanyuan to the Yangtze River Estuary) was called "Shanghai Pu". The name "Shanghai" was taken from this "Shanghai Pu" in Songjiang Prefecture. Songjiang was the political, economic and cultural center of Shanghai before the opening of modern Shanghai. Because of its long history and profound context, Songjiang is called "the root of Shanghai". Huating Town, Jiading District, Shanghai is located in the north of Jiading, Shanghai, near Liuhe, Jiangsu, where there are Huating families and farmhouses.
