What does hereditary system mean?
Hereditary system refers to a system in which a series of privileges such as power, property and title are passed down from generation to generation within the family. In the hereditary system, privileges such as power, property and title can only be inherited by specific heirs within the family, but not by election or other means. This is usually achieved through the inheritance of male eldest son or relatives or descendants. This system is usually used to describe the traditional feudal system or aristocratic rule. In modern democratic system, hereditary system has been basically abolished.
