1 Zhongwei, referred to as "Wei" for short, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, located in the central and western parts of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, in the transition zone from Ningxia Plain to Loess Plateau. Zhongwei belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, with abundant sunshine, large temperature difference between day and night and little precipitation. As of 20 19, Zhongwei has jurisdiction over shapotou district, Zhongning and Haiyuan counties, and the Municipal People's Government is located at No.5 Zheng Tong East Road, Binhe Town, shapotou district.
