Bao Zheng in history
The History of Song Dynasty Volume 3 16 "Biography of Bao Zheng" said: "Keep the court's fortitude, and gather your hands for it. Everyone who smells it is afraid of it. People laugh at Bao Zheng more than Huang Heqing. Naive woman, also know its name, shout:

"Packaging to be made". Shi Jing said,' If you can't reach the joints, you will have Yamaraja to help you. Under the old system, litigation could not be conducted under the court. Keep the main entrance clear, so that the masses can see straight, and officials dare not bully. "

As an honest official in feudal times, Bao Zheng did some good things for the benefit of the people. But "Bao Qingtian" on the stage of drama is exaggerated. The people are oppressed and humiliated by corrupt officials and cruel officials, and they hope to have "honest officials" who can avenge the people; In order to maintain long-term stability, feudal rulers hoped to have "good officials" to maintain feudal order. In this way, the script of Bao Qingtian will be edited more and more.

In fact, Bao Zheng's deeds in history are relatively short, while Bao Zheng's "deeds" on the stage of drama are mostly fictional. Most of Bao Zheng's plays are "case-solving plays", and most of them are stories about solving crimes when he was a magistrate in Kaifeng. However, according to Zi Jian, Bao Zheng was appointed as the prefect of Kaifeng Prefecture in December of the first year of Jiayou, and Injong Jiayou was promoted to the right remonstrance doctor in June of three years, and he was only the magistrate of Kaifeng Prefecture for one and a half years. In this year and a half, there is no record of any case-solving event in the history books. There is only one example of "examining the tongue of cattle", which is also found in the biography of Mu Yan in Song Dynasty. A case, recorded in the names of two people at the same time, is itself an incomprehensible "case-solving".

In the play Civet cats for princes, Bao Zheng is very beautiful. He not only determined who was the emperor's mother, but also cured the eye disease of the empress dowager with the secret recipe handed down from her ancestors. He defeated Guo Huai, reorganized Ponzi's father and daughter, a surname, and beat the emperor's robes. Among many "Bao Gong dramas", the drama "Civet cats for princes" is still "for a reason", but its people and events are "untenable". According to the records in Volume 24 of History of Song Dynasty, Liu Defai was born to Li, the imperial secretary who served Liu Defai, and raised him as his own son. Later, Liu Defai became the empress dowager and listened to politics. When Li was seriously ill, Liu promoted Li Jin. After Li died, Liu buried her with a gift from the queen. After the death of Queen Liu: "There is a saying to the emperor:' Your Majesty was born in, and your imperial concubine died in an unnatural death. "At that time, Injong Yi Zigong looked at it with his own eyes (Li Chenfei's coffin). The princess was like mercury, jade was like life, and the crown was like a queen. The emperor sighed:' Can people believe what they say? Wait for Liu to thicken. "

This historical fact in Civet cats for princes has nothing to do with Civet cats or Bao Zheng. This historical fact happened before the first year of Ming Dow in Injong (1032). It was not until the fourth year of Jingyou in Injong (1037) that Bao Zheng began to enter the official career and became a magistrate. That is to say, in the whole process of the so-called "civet cats for princes" incident, the name Bao Zheng did not appear in the official book of the Song Dynasty. Cheng Lin, a great loyal minister, and Ponzi, a great traitor, have their own histories. But according to historical records, Cheng Lin was an adulterer, while Pang Ji was a gentleman. According to Volume 24 of the History of Song Dynasty, in order to flatter Queen Liu, who listened to politics, and encourage her to be a female emperor, "The Third Division made Cheng Lin perform martial arts and then fell to the ground and said," I won't treat my ancestors like this. " Cheng Lin's flattery is so explicit that even Liu Can can't see it. Pang Ji, an imperial minister in the temple, thought that the emperor (Injong) had reached adulthood and should go to court, so he could not call the queen maid, so "please go down to the cabinet door, take the curtain system and burn it." "In order to protect Song Renzong, Ponzi is so outspoken and decisive. Thus, Cheng Lin and Ponzi in history are not the same as those described in the play.

Bao Zheng has never been a prime minister, and there is no "bronze spear" with boundless authority. It is not accurate to call him "the master of the elephant" in the play. His biggest official position was to be an official in the imperial history, and finally he was promoted to assistant minister of the Ministry of Rites, and was posthumously awarded as the minister of Rites. As for "Bao" and "Bao", it means that he once worked as a "straight bachelor of Longtuge" and "Longtuge". Unlike the Ming Dynasty, temples and pavilions in the Song Dynasty had no real power. Longtuge and Tianzhangge are imperial books of Song Taizu and Song Zhenzong, respectively. They are just a royal library, and its director is called "Bachelor", followed by "Straight Bachelor" and "To be customized". This shows that the so-called "Bao" and "Bao" are far from the status of "Xiang Ye".
