The founder of Buddhism, Sakyamuni (Buddha), was a Sakyamuni in the ancient Kapylovi Kingdom of China.
Because there were no calendars and historians in India at that time, it was precisely because of the six kinds of vibrations of heaven and earth when the Buddha was born that we found the evidence of the birth of the Buddha from the historical records of China.
Textual research from historians and Buddhist circles is as follows:
I. Historical Records of China
According to Zhou Shuyi Ji, the Buddha was born in the 24th year of King Zhao of Zhou, and the mage was born in the Northern Qi Dynasty (the three treasures of past dynasties were quoted from Mu Chuan).
Zhou Shu said: King Zhao of Zhou ascended the throne on April 8, and Jia Yin was twenty-four years old. Rivers and springs burst, wells flooded, people lived in palaces, and mountains and rivers shook. At night, the five-color phosgene is too weak to penetrate the whole west, all blue and red. King Zhao of Zhou asked Grandmaster Su You, "What is it?" Su You said to him, "A great sage was born in the West, so he is very lucky now. ..... A thousand years ago, music education spread to other places. " Zhao Haoqi immediately sent someone to carve words on this stone and buried it in front of the Temple of Heaven in the southern suburbs. ..... Thirty-two years after Wang Mu ascended the throne, he saw the amount of phosgene in the west, and he remembered the first time he heard Su You, knowing that there were saints in the west. ..... In the fifty-second year of King Mu, on February 15th, Pingdan, there was a sudden storm, houses were damaged, trees destroyed mountains and rivers, and the ground shook. It's cloudy in the afternoon, and there is Baihong 12 Road in the west, which runs through the north and south and never dies overnight. King Mu asked Taishi Huduo, "What is it?" Hu Duo said to him: "There are great sages in the West who are dying, and the decline is obvious."
In this way, the legend that the Buddha was born in the Zhao Zhou world and died in the Zhou Mu world has become a belief of the Han Dynasty for more than a thousand years. In A.D. 1 9 1 3 and 1 9 2 3, the Buddhist circles in China also held grand Buddha birthday commemorative ceremonies in 1940 and 1950 respectively. Even today, some jungle temples of the Han nationality still believe this theory. However, this statement was imitated by many Buddhists in the Han Dynasty and was established.
Second, the World Buddhist Congress confirmed that
1950 The World Buddhist Association (hereinafter referred to as the "World Buddhist Association") adopted 544 BC as the year when Buddhism entered and disappeared in Myanmar, that is, according to Sri Lanka and Myanmar (details can be searched online, there are many). * * * (At that time, China was in the period of the War of Liberation, just after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the national liberation war was still going on, and no Buddhist monks participated) * * * According to this resolution, 1956, an international commemorative ceremony was held in India to commemorate the 2,500 years of Buddhism, and our new China also sent a delegation to participate. Modern Buddhism, the publication of the Chinese Buddhist Association, issued a special commemorative issue. Because this is an international agreement with universal influence, almost all modern Buddhist circles and their publications use this Buddhist calendar year.
Third, the old monk Xu Yun talks about the Buddhist calendar
They also have different views on the Buddha Bathing Festival, and do not recognize the eighth day of April as the Buddha Bathing Festival. According to the biographies of Fa Ben and Master Morten, I said to Ming Di: Buddha was born on April 8, and Jiayin was 24 years old. This is the twenty-fourth year of King Zhao of Zhou. Tan Mo, a shaman priest in Shu Wei, said that the Buddha was born on April 8th, 2004 and died on February 5th, 2002. In this way, many dynasties have obeyed and have not changed. King Jia Yin of Zhao Zhou lived in 1982, and now they want to change it to 2502. Confucius and Laozi were born after the Buddha, but now he puts Confucius before the Buddha. I argued with them at the meeting that commandments, year numbers and Hanfu were not allowed to be broken. (Editor's Note: The year number is Buddhist calendar, and the calculation method is Buddhist calendar minus 1027, that is, the AD calendar. For example, the old monk Xu Yun lived in 2982, which is 1955. )
Morton and Zhu Falan, two Buddhists who introduced Buddhism into China, are not far from the demise of Buddhism. At that time, the White Horse Temple was in the east, and there was different light at night. Morten pointed out that the Buddha bone was hidden for Ashoka, and Ming Di built a tower on it. After passing the examination of Buddhism and Taoism, Mo Teng jumped into the void, widely showing the changes of the gods, loudly preaching Buddhism and preaching Buddhism. The wisdom and magical powers of the two venerable persons, can't you tell the date? Later eminent monks, such as Luo Shi, Fa Xian, Xuan Zang and Dao Xuan, had a few legends, but none of them definitely changed. In the second year of the Republic of China, Zhang Taiyan and other laymen held an uncovered meeting at Fayuan Temple in Beijing to discuss the Buddha's birthday, and decided that the eighth day of April would be the Buddha washing festival.
China's eminent monks and great virtues all use China Mahayana as the Gregorian calendar year.
Fourth, the calculation method of Buddhist calendar
1, Mahayana Buddhist calendar: 3040,2013+1027 (twenty-four years of Zhou Zhaowang)
2. Hinayana Buddhist calendar:
Before Buddha's birthday in 2556, 2013+(623-80) 543 (before April 8)
After the birth of Buddha, 2557,20/kloc-0,3+(623-80) 543 (after April 8)
I don't understand why so many people like to tamper with history.
