Xinxing county used to be the land of the south source and the land of hundreds of places in ancient times, but it was not included in the ruling territory of the Han regime.

In the thirty-third year of Qin Shihuang (2 14 BC), it was under the jurisdiction of Xiang County, one of the newly established administrative regions in Qin Dynasty.

In the sixth year of Ding Yuan in the Western Han Dynasty (before11), Xinxing County was the territory of Lin Yun County, Hepu County, Jiaozhou at that time.

In the Three Kingdoms period, in the fifth year of Huang Wu (226), Lin Yun County was changed to Cangwu County. Later, the county was renamed Xinning County.

In the seventh year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (35 1), Xinning County was separated from Cangwu County. Zhaoyang Luodao was merged into Yuehai Road, and emerging counties were subordinate to Yuehai Road. In March of the third year of the Republic of China, the province was divided into seven police departments, and Xinxing County was under the jurisdiction of Zhaoyang Luo Police. After the founding of New China, Xinxing County belongs to Xijiang District of Guangdong Province. 1August, 950, Helian Township of Yunfu County was placed under the jurisdiction of Xinxing County. 1952 belongs to the administrative office of central Guangdong.
