The historical development of Shanghai
According to historical records, Shanghainese lived here as early as 6000 years ago. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Shanghai was first wuyue's land, and then Chu's. During the reign of Chu Gaolie, Shanghai was the fief of Shen Jun Huang Xie in spring. Huang Xie dug the Huangpu River, and Shanghai was nicknamed "Shen" because the Huangpu River was nicknamed Spring. Most residents on both sides of the lower reaches of Wusong River make a living by fishing. Fishermen created a tool "Hu" to catch crabs. Later, "Hu" evolved into "Shanghai" and became another nickname for Shanghai. Since the Han Dynasty, the connection between Shanghai and the Central Plains has been strengthened day by day. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, with the continuous development of Jiangnan economy, Shanghai's economy also developed rapidly. During the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty (AD 75 1 year), Huating County was established by Kunshan, Jiaxing and Haiyan counties and Huating Sea in the northeast of Huating County, which is now the seat of Shanghai. In the third year of Xianchun in the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1276), Shanghai Town was established, which was under the jurisdiction of Huating County. Due to the frequent commercial activities in the Southern Song Dynasty, Shanghai became a new trading port with many businessmen. In the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1277), Shanghai Town had become the first important town in Huating County, so in the 28th year of Yuan Dynasty, five townships in the northeast of Huating County were designated as Shanghai County. In the 23rd year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1648), the sea ban was lifted, and Shanghai achieved unprecedented development, opening many routes such as inland river shipping, Yangtze River shipping, north-south ocean shipping and international shipping, and its economic status became increasingly strong. 1840 After the Opium War, the British invaded Shanghai, Nanjing and other places, and Shanghai was officially opened as a trading port. Since then, various capitalist powers have dumped goods in Shanghai in search of raw materials. From the late 1920s to the early 1930s, Shanghai's modern industry developed rapidly and became an important base of China's modern industry. Shortly after War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression started, Shanghai was occupied by Japanese invaders and became an isolated island. The Japanese and Puppet plundered savagely, and Shanghai's economy was seriously damaged. 1May 27, 949, Shanghai was liberated. With the attention of the country and its own convenience, Shanghai has finally attracted the attention of the world again with a brand-new attitude.
