The Discovery and Exploration History of Sijiaying Iron Mine
Sijiaying Iron Mine can be divided into Sijiaying North Mining Area, Sijiaying South Mining Area and Dajiazhuang Mining Area, among which Sijiaying North Mining Area is only partially exposed. According to legend, iron ore was mined in ancient times.

19 14, Swede An Tesheng and Englishman Ding Lan conducted an iron ore outcrop survey, and calculated the reserves as 25 million tons.

194 1 year, Tadao Kuroshio made exploration (1 borehole), and Qian Qiu in Daxi made geomagnetic survey.

The investigation and exploration of iron ore started from 1955 to 1958, with a reserve of1.1.200 million tons.

1956, the Geophysical Exploration Team of Metallurgical Bureau carried out1:50,000 geomagnetic survey in Sijiaying area, delineated the total length of magnetic anomaly in Sijiaying ore belt, and made preliminary exploration, which proved to be a large Anshan-type magnetite deposit (iron ore reserves exceeded 654.38+1100 million tons).

19591:65438+100,000,000 aeromagnetic survey, and aeromagnetic anomalies were found, numbered M 14 1, with an aeromagnetic anomaly intensity of 6000nT and a range of/kloc-0.

1973 to verify the aeromagnetic anomaly, carry out regional geomagnetic survey again (Sijiaying area 1:5000, Dajiazhuang area 1: 10000), delineate the total length of magnetic anomaly in Sijiaying ore belt 10.5km, and make quantitative explanation.

By the end of 198 1 year, the reserves of Sijiaying Iron Mine had exceeded 1 100 million tons (Yao Peihui, 1993).
