The litchi varieties in Conghua are March Red, Yuan Zhi (Shuidong Black Leaf), Feizixiao (Jade Bag), Panguzi, Qingpitian, Jinfeng (Zhenfeng), Zhuangyuanhong, Guiwei, glutinous rice paste, Sophora japonica, Gualv, Honey Cheng, Shuitu Valley, Xie Nian and Fengfeng. There are many branches of Sophora japonica, accounting for 85% of litchi varieties, and other litchi varieties account for about 15%. The excellent varieties of litchi in Conghua are Guiwei in Baitiangang, glutinous rice paste in Qiangang, Hu Aizhi, Helexiang in West Lake, Sweet Green Peel in Folk Music, Feizixiao, Panguzi and so on. At present, 6.5438+0.3 million mu of litchi is planted in Conghua, with an annual output of 20,000 tons, which is listed in mid-June every year and reaches its peak in July. Conghua has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Lingnan culture. There were traces of human activities 700 years ago in Conghua, and many Neolithic remains have been found so far. The Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties were the heyday of Conghua. Most of the ancient villages and buildings preserved in Conghua are buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
