How many years of history does Leshan have?
Leshan has a long history, as far back as the Bashu era more than 3,000 years ago, and was once the old capital of the Wang Mingkai tribe in Shu. In the 4th century BC, Bashu was destroyed by Qin, and Leshan belonged to Shu County. Because Leshan before liberation was in the south of Chengdu, it was named Nan 'an.

The Han Dynasty classified Nan 'an as Qianwei County. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, due to the constant war, the organizational system of Leshan changed frequently. The collection of history in the Northern Zhou Dynasty means "beautiful counties". Meishan county was established in Sui Dynasty. The original Nan 'an County was renamed Longyou County. In Song Dynasty, Jiazhou was changed to Jiading House; The Yuan Dynasty changed Jiading Road; In the Ming Dynasty, it was changed to Jiading House; In the 12th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1734), Jiading House was upgraded to Jiading House, and Leshan County was established in the house, and Longyou County was changed to Leshan County under the name of "there is a' to Leshan' in five miles southwest of the city". The name "Leshan" is still in use today.

In the Republic of China, the state capital was abolished and Leshan Administrative Supervision Department was established. People's Republic of China (PRC) and People's Republic of China (PRC) set up Leshan Commissioner's Office. 1978, Leshan County merged with wutongqiao district and changed to Leshan City (county level), which still belongs to Leshan area.
