The above is the acceptance speech for his selfless contribution to his life. He is known as China's "father of the atomic bomb"-Deng Jiaxian, or Deng Lao for short.
Deng Jiaxian
The Soviet Union once mocked us that "we couldn't build an atomic bomb in 20 years", but it only took us a few years to successfully explode the first atomic bomb.
It took seven years and three months for the United States, six years and three months for the Soviet Union, four years and seven months for Britain, eight years and six months for France and two years and eight months for us.
Behind such great achievements are thousands of unknown and selfless researchers, and Deng Lao is one of them.

1August, 958, Deng Lao came back from work very late. When he got home, Deng Lao said to his wife, Ms. Xu Luxi, "I want to transfer my job. Xu Luxi asked where to transfer. Deng Lao said that he couldn't say; You can't say what you do. There is always a mailing address, and Deng Lao may not be able to do it. "

If this can be done, even if Deng Lao gave his life, he would have no regrets all his life.
Many years later, Ms. Xu Luxi learned that Deng Lao had accepted the task of developing China's first atomic bomb this year. That is, from this day on, Deng Jiaxian's figure seemed to suddenly disappear from public view. When Ms. Xu Luxi was reunited with Deng Lao again, it was 28 years later. At this time, Deng Lao has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and his life has entered the countdown. However, Deng Lao has no regrets about his career in his life. Until the last moment of his life, Deng Lao was still suffering from illness regardless of his postoperative health. In the hospital bed, he and Yu Min completed a report on China's proposal for the development of nuclear weapons.
1On June 25th, 924, Deng Jiaxian was born in Huaining, Anhui.
194 1 year, 17-year-old Deng Jiaxian was admitted to the Physics Department of The National SouthWest Associated University. Deng Lao, who witnessed the suffering of war since childhood, made up his mind to study for the strength of the motherland. 1In August, 945, Deng Lao graduated from the Physics Department of The National SouthWest Associated University. In order to learn more knowledge, Deng Laoyu, a college graduate, went to Purdue University to study physics. It took Deng Lao less than two years to complete the credits, successfully passed the doctoral thesis and obtained the doctoral degree. Nine days after receiving his doctorate, Deng Lao chose to return to China.

After returning to China, Deng Lao worked in the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
1953, Deng Lao and Xu Luxi got married, and they lived happily and peacefully together for five years.
1958 one day, Liu Jie, vice minister of the Second Machinery Department, found Deng Jiaxian, made clear his intention, said that "the country is going to enlarge firecrackers" and asked him if he would like to take part in this work. Deng Laoyi agreed without hesitation and started this work that has disappeared from public view for 28 years.
At that time, many people in China had never heard of the atomic bomb, and few people knew about atomic physics, let alone the information about the atomic bomb. Even now, these things are still the most core and confidential things in all countries.
In the early days of studying the atomic bomb, for Deng Lao, it was really "poor and white." Nothing is difficult in the world, if you put your mind to it, the difficulty lies in Deng Lao. After serving as the director of the theory department of the Ninth Research Institute of the Second Machinery Department, Deng Lao selected a group of young college students and then led them to explore and study the theoretical research of the atomic bomb from scratch.

Deng Lao led young researchers to study the atomic bomb theory day and night. During the research, when the atmospheric pressure of a nuclear explosion was different from that left by Soviet experts, Deng Lao and the researchers made repeated calculations. Later, with the help of Zhou Guangya, our data was confirmed to be correct through rigorous calculations, thus solving the key problems related to the success or failure of China's atomic bomb experiment.
After calculation and research day and night, Deng Jiaxian led the scientific research team to select neutron physics, fluid mechanics and physical properties under high temperature and high pressure as the main direction of China's first atomic bomb.
With the development of the atomic bomb, he later moved to the Gobi Desert in the northwest, where the living conditions were even worse. Water shortage and sandstorms are common. Deng Jiaxian not only led the researchers to explore the atomic bomb theory, but also often went deep into the Gobi desert proving ground, regardless of the heat and cold.
In the most difficult time to develop the atomic bomb, during the difficult three years, although researchers engaged in atomic bomb research had high food security, clerks who worked day and night often went hungry because there was no oil and water. At this time, Deng Jiaxian saved some food stamps from his father-in-law to buy cookies and distributed them to colleagues.
With the efforts of Deng Lao's iron team day and night, the first atomic bomb was successfully exploded in the northwest on June1964+1October 16.
Atomic bomb explosion
Many years later, Deng Lao lived incognito at the Gobi desert proving ground and personally led the nuclear test. In an airdrop experiment, the nuclear bomb fell from the plane. Because the parachute didn't open, the nuclear bomb fell directly to the ground. It didn't explode, but it did. After finding the nuclear bomb that landed, Deng Lao touched the shrapnel with his hand. This time, Deng Lao suffered from severe nuclear radiation.
Deng Lao knows the consequences of nuclear radiation on his health. Deng Lao, who has always paid no attention to appearance, took a group photo with Zhao, vice minister of the Second Machinery Department, after handling the incident.
Sure enough, Deng Jiaxian later returned to Beijing and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It was too late at this time, and he finally came together with his wife who had been separated for 28 years.
1On July 29th, 986, Deng Lao died of systemic hemorrhage at the age of 62.
1in June, 985, Deng Lao was critically ill. His good friend Yang Zhenning went to the hospital to visit him and asked him how much bonus he had won for his lifelong commitment to developing the atomic bomb. At this time, Deng Lao told him: "20 yuan, atomic bomb 10 yuan, hydrogen bomb 10 yuan."
