Five books and one book of water village in history
With the adjustment of administrative divisions and industries, Shuizhai Village, Shuizhai Middle School and Shuizhai Primary School are all facing relocation or restructuring. The torrent of history is unstoppable, but the history and culture of Shuizhai will last forever. Just like Wu Shu in the history of Shuizhai, he still lives in the hearts of Shuizhai intellectuals. Although he lacks something, his spirit.

In the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1900), a private school was established in Shuizhai Village. Because students are exempt from attending school, they are named five art books. It is jointly organized by Shuizhai, Haojialou and Kangjiazhu. The founders are (scholars), Hao Zhenlun and Dong (state guests), all of whom have more than 30 years of study experience and are highly respected. Under their advocacy, the people of the three villages actively supported and strongly supported, followed by generous donations, ranging in number, and * * * raised more than 400 taels of silver. Kun Li wrote a report to the county government, which was rewarded by the magistrate of a county (whose name is unknown) and awarded 100 silver.

Wuben School is located in the middle of Shuizhai Village, facing south, covering an area of about three acres. The words "Wu Yi Ben Shu" are written on the school gate. There is a hall and a hatchback in the courtyard, the north hall is the main room, the middle hall has a warm pavilion, on which a horizontal plaque of "eternal model" is hung, and there is an altar in the front row. There is a statue of Confucius in Tingxi, about 3 feet high. There is a plaque inscribed by Zhangqiu magistrate in Xishu Prefecture, "Ming Tomb Irrigation". At the time of construction, craftsmen felt that no one was paid for the "Yishu". It was completed in March. The remaining 60 mu of silver land is used as a tinker, and the rented silver belongs to Yi Shu.

The teachers hired are all literati students with both ability and political integrity and high cultural literacy. Among them, Gong Sheng Su Jintai, scholar Su Fengtai and scholar Zheng Fengtai are collectively called Santai. "There are Hao Chuntian, Jiao Shiquan, Dong Zhensan, Zhao (all performing), Song and Liu Fengting. Hao Zhenlun and Dong Weiyishu are executive directors, who are in charge of all affairs of the school and teach in turn. Most students are college students who have received enlightenment education and can start writing (writing articles as soon as they start writing). The teaching materials are mainly language theory, Mencius, universities, the doctrine of the mean (four books), poetry, calligraphy, etiquette, the Book of Changes, the Five Classics of Spring and Autumn, and also learn ancient Chinese texts such as the history of five or seven words and thousands of poems. Teachers can teach students in accordance with their aptitude without distinction.

The Book of Changes stipulates that every year in February and August of the lunar calendar, the so-called "Ding Festival" is chosen to pay homage to Confucius. On Ding Festival, the school should be thoroughly cleaned inside and outside, and all teachers and students should be dressed neatly. Nearby gentry, elders, cushion teachers and literati were invited to participate in the ceremony, which was quite grand. After the ceremony, Yi Shu hosted a home-cooked meal. After dinner, we began to discuss, express our opinions, learn from each other, exchange experiences and improve together. Students who have written in a nearby village school come once a month to take an exam (called a competition) by writing articles. Material rewards will be given according to the results. The number of winners each time accounts for more than half of the number of candidates (the number of people taking the exam is generally between 80- 100). Prizes are nothing more than pens, ink, paper inkstones, Four Treasures of the Study and the like, and the purpose is to encourage students to work hard and make a name for themselves.

With the passage of time from the sun to the moon, Kun Li and others have entered old age, and their bodies are weak, making it difficult for them to be competent as directors. Therefore, they appointed Hao Chunchun, Dong Jiayun and Liu Fengting as executive directors. After the Revolution of 1911, Wuyiben was changed to Wuben School, and the teaching materials and educational system were reformed. 65438- 193 1, the fourth senior primary school in the second district (the old military region). Hao Jishun, deputy head of the district, came to five schools and negotiated with Director Hao Chuntian to change them into the fourth senior primary school in the district. After consultation, it was decided that all the school production should be owned by the "four small schools". With the development of four primary schools, the original scale is no longer suitable, so we moved to the ancient temple on the east bank of Xixiu River in Haojialou Village. The temple is very big, with a theater in front and a tall pavilion in the back. After the transformation, the environment is more quiet and suitable for teaching and reading. Although the history of five books and one book is short, it has cultivated many outstanding talents for the local area and gained a heavy reputation for a while. Time flies, things have changed, and the old site no longer exists.
