History is an objective fact and there is only one truth. However, the knowledge of recording and studying history often changes, develops and perfects with people's subjective consciousness, and even distorts and fabricates it. Because of this, Hu said, "History is like a little girl. You can dress up as you like." Strictly speaking, the word "history" here should mean history in a narrow sense. Therefore, excellent historians in ancient China paid special attention to "honesty"-"good and evil must be remembered" and "analysis of the truth", which, in layman's terms, means recording facts fairly and objectively and analyzing and judging.
