Generally, when the water level light on the dashboard of a car is on, because the water in the water tank will not decrease for no reason, it should be a problem with the cooling system. There are two possibilities. First, there is water leakage somewhere in the system.
Second, if the temperature is too high, the pressure of the cooling system will increase and water will be squeezed out. If the water tank leaks, you can temporarily add water to the auxiliary water tank, and then try to drive it to the nearby garage for treatment, and ask the maintenance personnel to deal with it.
Different vehicles have different auxiliary water tanks. It is recommended that the owner refer to the owner's manual first. Remember not to open the water tank cover easily, because the engine works at a very high temperature, so as not to cause damage by the steam that comes out instantly, and don't try to drive to the destination again, which will cause serious damage to the engine.
In addition, there is less antifreeze:
Antifreeze, also known as coolant, is used to cool the engine. If there is little antifreeze, or you need to change it, you don't change it.
If the water temperature light is on, but this is not the case, it means that there is something wrong with the cooling fan for heat dissipation, and it is necessary to stop running immediately, otherwise the sudden increase of temperature and pressure will make the coolant turn into high-pressure steam and leak out, which will also lead to the deformation of the engine cylinder head or the damage of the cylinder pad.
Tip: The water level gauge in the water tank is very important. If you call the police, you must pay attention to it and don't delay. If cooling water is temporarily replenished, the same type of cooling water should be pushed first, and then distilled water should be pushed.
