Tengchong is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese, hometown of literature, jade distribution center, and a provincial-level historical and cultural city. Tengchong was called Dianyue in the Western Han Dynasty, and Tengchong Prefecture was established in central Dali. Due to the important geographical position, all previous dynasties sent heavy troops to station, and in the Ming Dynasty, a stone city was built, which was called "the first city at the extreme edge".

1, Yunnan-Myanmar Anti-Japanese War Museum
The Yunnan-Myanmar Anti-Japanese War Museum was completed and opened on July 7, 2005. The museum site is located in the former site of the 20 th Army Command of the Chinese Expeditionary Force. The museum has a collection of more than 3,500 World War II cultural relics, including the Chinese Expeditionary Force, the Indian troops of China, the United States and Britain, and the People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
2. Tengchong Confucian Temple
Tengchong Confucian Temple, also known as Gong Xue and Hong Xue, is located in Tengchong City and is a large group building. Founded in the 16th year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 5th year of Guangxu, it is the only well-preserved Gong Xue in the west of Nujiang River and the only ancient architectural complex in Tengchong during the Anti-Japanese War.
