Tangjiawan is located on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary, bordering Lingdingyang in the east, and the Phoenix Mountain and Da Nan Mountain in the west and northwest are towering and steep, all the way to the east, forming the Tangjia Peninsula. Qi 'ao Island in the east echoes Venus Island and Tangjia Peninsula in the sea in the west, and the three islands "double dragons play with pearls" form the natural wonders of Tangjiawan. Tangjiawan is also a place where talented people come forth in large numbers. Guoan Tang, the first president of Tsinghua University, Tang Tisheng, a famous Cantonese opera singer, and Gu Yuan, a famous printmaker in China, were all born in this treasure land.
Walking into the remote and profound Gu Xiang of Tangjiawan, you can smell a mixture of modernity and simplicity. Although times have changed, in the 16 natural villages in Tangjiawan, there is a building community in the late Qing Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, a century-old house with blue bricks and gray tiles, a magnificent roof totem, exquisite flying fish overhangs and wooden purlins.
At the intersection of Datong Road and Xindizhi Street in Tangjiawan Town, there is a neatly arranged Tangjiasan Temple, which consists of Mongolian Tang Sheng Temple, Kuixing Wu Wen Temple and Songzi Jinhua Niangniang Temple. Wu Wen Temple is in the middle, Tang Sheng Temple and Jinhua Temple are around. Jinhua Temple is dedicated to a series of female idols such as Mrs. Jinhua who gave birth to a child. Wu Wen Temple respects Taoism, while Tang Sheng Temple worships Western Bodhisattvas. According to legend, there have been temples since surnamed tang, so it is also called Tangjiazu Temple. Wu Wen Temple and Jinhua Temple were built in the early Qing Dynasty and have a history of more than 300 years. Tang Temple has a long history and high architectural artistic value. The layout of the building is rigorous and practical. It adopts the mixed structure of cross-bucket hanging beam and wood frame, with blue brick oyster shell wall, water lane separated by a hall, and opened in Yong Men. It is decorated with stone carving, brick carving, wood carving and colored gray batch main drawing. The roof is decorated with abalone, relics, dragons, flying fish and overhangs, the eaves are decorated with exquisite embossed panels, and the interior doors have pastel Chinese paintings, poems and three-dimensional landscape murals. At the same time, there are many bluestone inscriptions in the temple, which are precious historical materials for studying Zhuhai's local history, religious history and folk customs.
Climbing along the ancient town of Tangjia to the top of the mountain at the northern foot of Erling is one of the three major parks in Zhuhai. This is a good place for people to relax and play. Originally a private garden in Tang Dynasty, it was built in the first year of Qing Dynasty.
Tang's former residence is located at No.99 Tangjiawan Road. It is a two-story building with a width of12.3m and a depth of11.6m. The right room was built by Tang's grandfather in the Qing Dynasty, and the left room was expanded to 1929, which was built by Tang himself. 1980 was announced as a cultural relics protection unit in Zhuhai.
Tangjiasan Temple is located in the northwest of Datong Road, Tangjiawan Town. It consists of Tang Sheng Temple, Wenwu Shuangquan Temple and Jinhua Temple, so it is called "Tangjiasan Temple". It is the largest existing temple building with the longest history in Zhuhai, with profound historical and cultural connotations and high architectural artistic value. It is a precious material for studying Zhuhai's local history and folk history, and also a symbol of carrying the homesickness of the villagers at home and abroad in Tangjiawan area. 20 10 was selected as the sixth batch of cultural relics protection list in Guangdong province in May.
Tangjiasan Temple is located in a mixed structure with northwest to southeast, blue brick roof and bucket beam. The total width is 32.72m, the total depth is 29.6m, and the total area is about1500m2. There is a platform as long as the Three Temples in front of the door, about 1 m from the ground, and a low wall with a length of13.5m.. At present, the temple capacity is basically restored according to the situation of Tongzhi for two years.
There are 9 stone tablets in the Three Temples, 7 of which are ancient monuments in the Qing Dynasty, which records the situation that the Tang people raised funds to repair the Three Temples and their walls several times. According to ancient monuments, the temple was built in Qianlong (1775), Jiaqing (1804) and Daoguang (1827) for forty years.
There are 7 juren and 2 Jinshi in Tangjia Ancient Town. Among the first batch of 120 officials studying abroad in China, the Tang family accounted for 13, and also produced the first cabinet prime minister of the Republic of China, foreign minister Liang Ruhao, finance minister Tang Yueliang, and the first president of Tsinghua. According to local legend, it is the blessing of the Tang Temple that makes Xiao Tang's family so outstanding that guests come in droves.
