What is the goal of history review class?

Today, I went to Gong Xue Middle School to participate in the ideal classroom activities organized by the teaching and research section. After listening to two classes, the review class of "Aggression and Resistance", the third volume of China History, is different in the same class. Let's make a simple evaluation.

The first section is taught by Mr. Pang. After listening to her many classes, I feel that she has high literacy, soft voice and good affinity, and all students like her. The course she designed uses a large number of written historical materials and pictures to guide students to perceive and understand history from historical materials. Mr. Pang's class, as always, pays attention to the implementation of knowledge and the teaching of historical materials, which fully embodies the humanistic characteristics of history classroom. It is helpful for students to form a grand view of history, which is also the requirement of the new curriculum standard.

The second section is a class of teacher Meng, which is quite different from teacher Pang's style. Have the masculinity of a male teacher, grasp the big and let go of the small. The content of the treaty does not require students to remember, but to grasp the characteristics of the "most treaty", such as what is the most compensated treaty? What are the treaties that cut the most land, and so on. Guide students to compare and review knowledge points in comparison. Teacher Meng pays more attention to actual combat practice and improves students' ability by doing mid-term exam questions.

These two teachers come from different schools, and their teaching styles have the shadow of curriculum reform in their respective schools, but they have a common understanding of the review class: the review class is not a simple repetition of knowledge points, but a break of the original order, re-integration, and improvement of students' ability to analyze and synthesize problems.

Cultivating ability is the goal of history review class
