Commanders generally appear in the field army, and cadres at the corps level rarely change jobs. The State Council and the Central Military Commission's current "Interim Measures for Resettlement of Military Demobilization" stipulate that heads at or above the divisional level generally do not arrange to be demobilized.
Cadres at the corps level generally retire after serving for a certain number of years (former veteran cadres retire). Or because of factors such as army adjustment or reorganization, most of them are adjusted within the army (including headquarters and technical research units or colleges). Because such cadres are of high rank and junior qualifications, they are not suitable for working directly in local areas.
If this happens, it should be a local deputy provincial cadre, or a municipal (at least a prefecture-level city or provincial capital) people's congress or the main leadership position of CPPCC.
For example, in history, cadres at the corps level were transferred to local systems for placement:
1. Yan Feng, former commander of the 39th Army, served as the vice governor of Liaoning Province in June 2002.
2. Zhang Zhaofu, former commander of the aviation unit of the North Sea Fleet, with the rank of Major General, was appointed as the deputy governor of Shandong Province after changing jobs;
3. Guo Yanyan, former deputy chief of staff of the navy, served as the head of the discipline inspection team of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense in August 2005;
