Cadillac culture?
The Cadillac division of General Motors was formerly Detroit Automobile Company founded in 1899, and was renamed Cadillac in 1902. It was named after the French explorer Cadillac, who founded Detroit in 170 1. Cadillac was controlled by Henry M. Raylan in the early days, producing automobile precision parts. Raylan and his company are committed to making the best cars. Although their output reached a record 4,307 vehicles in 65,438+0,906, Cadillac's management refused the temptation to continue to increase production and devoted all their energy to producing high-quality cars. This makes it lose its position as the largest automobile manufacturer, but it has made many technological achievements and become one of the leading advanced automobile manufacturers.

1907, the newly established general motors bought Cadillac, but Raylan stayed to continue to develop and operate Cadillac until 19 17, when they started Lincoln Motor Company. Later, Lincoln Motor Company was sold to Ford Motor Company.

1908, Cadillac became the first American automobile company to be awarded the Duval Medal by the Royal Club of London because of its successful standardized production, and won the reputation of "world standard".

1909, Cadillac joined GM. Since then, Cadillac has paid more attention to luxury and comfort when designing cars. Up to now, Cadillac still maintains this tradition and is famous for producing luxury cars.

19 12, Cadillac won the Duval Medal for becoming the first car equipped with electronic starting, lighting and ignition devices, and won the honor of "world standard" forever.

19 14, Cadillac launched its first 8-cylinder engine in the United States.

1929- 1930 also produced the world's first 12 cylinder engine and 16 cylinder engine.

After the disappearance of traditional carriage manufacturing in the late 1930s, GM maintained its high-quality image with Fisher and Frost Forest.

At the end of 1949, Cadillac produced the/kloc-0.000 millionth Cadillac car, and in the same year, it developed a historic V8 engine with high compression ratio, overhead valve and light weight. In 1950s, the design of the rear of Cadillac reached its peak.

In the 1960 s, the body was longer and the horsepower was greater. 1966, Cadillac introduced the first front-wheel drive car, El dorado. Before this, this market has been occupied by competitors of other companies.

In the 1960s and 1970s, when "longer, wider and lower" cars were popular, Cadillac also produced world-famous luxury cars. At that time, Cadillac Willard weighed more than 3,000 pounds and was more than 230 inches long. This engine uses an 8.2-liter cylinder.

1975 Seville, launched in May, is a small Cadillac of international standard size. It has a 5.7-liter 8-cylinder jet engine and other series of functions, which makes it one of the best equipped cars in the world.

1977 Cadillac's development is a response to the 1973 oil crisis. Compared with Frost Forest, the new Willard is 8 ~ 12 inch shorter than its 1976 model, with an average weight of 950 pounds, representing the first generation of compact products of Cadillac.

In 2008, GM introduced the Simalong, the smallest model in Cadillac history. Ximalong, Chevy Cavari and Pontiac 2000 are all based on "J" class cars, which are introduced to compete with small "near-luxury" imported goods such as BMW 320 and later 325i.

1985, the standard Cadillac Ville was completely redesigned. Shorten the length of the Levi series and adopt front-wheel drive, such as Buick Electra and Osmobile 98 (sharing some parts is a common practice in the automobile industry, especially among American manufacturers, and Henry M. Raylan believes that "common parts" has created a bright future for the automobile industry).

1986 Cadillac lowered the international standards of El dorado and Seville, which have always used the same chassis as Osmo Bill and Buick.

1987, Cadillac introduced one of its most distinctive models, the Arante two-seater convertible.

1997 Cadillac launched the European luxury car Catera, aimed at those customers who like the younger European style. Catera is a German-made car designed by European and American engineers on the basis of German Opel Omega MV6.

Cadillac brand officially landed in China in 2004.

Cadillac has many unforgettable unique designs and technological innovations in its 100-year history, which makes it enduring in the luxury car market.
